An Unapologetic Fangirl

Keep in mind - We know Bridgerton has already been renewed for season 5 and 6. Each season seems to take a year-and-a-half to two years to come out; which could mean we would hypothetically be looking at as much as a six year wait for season 7, if we were to get a season 7. Remember that.

If I remember correctly, which I am probably not so I apologize in advance - Book Michael (Michaela (sp?) in the series) leaves the country for an extended period (years?) after John's death to try to deal with his feelings for Fran. If they go a similar route and don't want it to seem like Fran is jumping straight into another relationship before she's even finished mourning John, and that Michaela has had time to really consider and accept what it will mean to start a longterm romantic relationship with her cousin's widow... the show may want to work in a significant time jump between the end of season 4 and the beginning of Fran and Michaela's story.

Now looking at Eloise, her book is number 5 in the line-up; but switching book order around with Fran's wouldn't be unimaginable. They did it with Colin and Benedict already.

In book 5, Eloise ends up with a widower and father of two named Philip Crane. That name may sound familiar since it is the same as the character who married Marina Thompson (Penelope's pregnant cousin from season 1) so that he could provide some protection and legitimacy to his dead brother's lover and their children. The children are old enough to be adorable little terrors in the book, and Philip's late wife died long enough ago that it would not be unseemly for him to remarry. Book Philip was married to a Marina, but the entire subplot with her being Pen's cousin and engaged to Colin was made up for the series and not from the book. I image, though, that the series is going to make the two Marina's one and the same if they decide to bring Philip in as Eloise's love interest. I'm not sure if there has been enough canon time between the birth of Marina's twins and when she would need to have passed on for the book Eloise storyline to happen. Maybe there has been? Math is hard and I'm tired. If there hasn't though, an extended time jump might be needed for her as well.

Remember what I said earlier about how season 7 could be 6 years away from now, and isn't even guaranteed?

This is going to sound crazy... but I honestly think there is a teeny tiny chance that the show runners may consider combining Eloise and Fran's storyline into season five, possibly setting it after a plot appropriate time jump.

And then combining Greg and Hy's storylines into season 6, the last currently ordered TV season.

I honestly can not see the series still being in production in 8 years for the last kid (whichever one it would be). Especially with the same actors for the older siblings. Either they are going to have to miss some kids or start combining storylines somewhere.

And that is my insanely stupid Bridgerton season 5 and 6 theory.

And that is assuming that there is one issue; and it's not actually four random cootie raccoons huddled in a trench coat, pretending to be an unknown disease kaiju.

Anywho, I get to look forward to even more testing in the new year; and the dwindling hope that I will be able to spend time with my family, maybe enjoy a hobby, be able to stay awake for longer than a few hours a day, maybe stop nearly fainting every day? I know I'm luckier than many, and I should be grateful for what I have. But I want my life back.
