major tmi upcoming, do not read if you don’t want to know gynecological details of my life:

I am so frustrated—i’ve been in to get an IUD twice now and after a whole bunch of poking and prodding they can’t get my dumbass cervix to cooperate. after take 1 they had me come back on my period, take dilating pills, and then used this terrifying metal dilator, and still no dice.

now I have to go back and get a more serious procedure with more anesthetics and a backup physician. i’m ok with doing that but i’m SO upset this couldn’t just, like... be easy. everyone I know who has gotten one, it’s been easy for. this is supposed to take five minutes and be no big deal, but fuck me I guess.
