Other fun turns of phrase in German include:

“Ich versteh’ nur Bahnhof” = “I only understand train station” for when you’re confused

“Hast du Tomaten auf den Augen?” = “Have you got tomatoes on your eyes?” for when someone’s not seeing the obvious

“Auf die Schippe nehmen” = “Take someone on a shovel”, basically means to take the piss out of someone

“Du gehst mir auf den Senkel.” = “You’re walking on my shoelace(s).”

“Du gehst mir auf den Keks.” = “You’re walking on my cookie.”

He also discusses that the open ending was meant to tell everyone that Hannibal survived, and the place-mats being set for three people meant that Will did too. Which we all already know because we know the characters so well. But I know some people still waver on what they believe went down:

It also addresses the amount of bisexual representation within the show. I was literally talking the other day about how I love the portrayal of bisexuality in this show because it is true to real life. There’s no internal struggle, no conflict, no need for discussion, because in real life that’s not how bisexuality works. When two people connect, they feel it, and float together naturally without a word because it has always been in their nature. So my bisexual ass is living for this validation and accurate representation (also thank you Bryan Fuller for defending bisexuality from the biphobes of the world):
