Possums seeing ticks:
this is an extremely good joke format
I wish I knew how to play chess
I needed this.
I understand chess and oh my god can this be a meme format? Cause there are so many possible combinations here
I got a phone call from the police station about my teenage llama this week, telling me some tourists had called them upon seeing a llama crossing the road, who âstopped when she saw usâ and ârefused to give wayâ (their complaint in French sounded amazingly traffic-related, âelle nâa pas cĂŠdĂŠ le passageââŚ) The policeman told them yeah thatâs our Pampe! donât worry about it sheâs living her life, you can try to pet her but sheâs shy with strangers⌠Imagine calling the police about a llama refusing to abide by basic road rules and being told haha thatâs our girl! Give her a pat for me! PampĂŠrigouste, you are very annoying and very loved.
I started following that road looking for her, occasionally calling her with my special I Come Bearing Muesli whistle (and it was a lie), and as soon as I got mobile reception I received a text from a neighbour telling me âTon affreuse est lĂ â (âyour horrible one is hereâ). I turned around to go pick her up, and discovered that he had locked her in the Horny Bull Pen, aka his most securised enclosure. When Pampe escapes to his farm just to be a pest she usually hangs out with his cows until I arrive and he doesnât mind, so it was a little joke, and it was so funny finding Pampe languishing in a high-security prison. She looked very put out and I told her she absolutely deserved her sentence. Then I opened the gate and I didnât even need my rope, she was happy to be pardoned and to see Pandolf, and followed us readily, on the road and then through the woods to my farm, it felt so companionable, the three of us walking home together.
i did a deep clean of the kitchen and living room in this house i live in with six theatre people for the first time today and i prepared myself to find a lot of weird shit while cleaning - like the fake bloody foot in the coat closet - but nothing prepared me for the corn-shaped dildo under the couch
country girls should make do somewhere other than my living room!!
@mcelboycontent I showed this to a theatre kid friend of mine and she said this:
there is Corn Dildo Lore in this household, i just canât remember the details. i believe it belongs to a roommate who is currently out of state. i do not know if it has ever been used in a sexual way, but i have touched it now, so i sincerely hope it is more of a novelty item
OH HEY THERE
The corn dildo was a birthday present indented to continue the tradition of getting me absolutely horrendous dildos. Thereâs a glass blown tentacle dildo hidden somewhere in the house that started the tradition. Niether have ever been used as intended (as far as I know)
thereâs a what where
do you guys like. talk irl or
the dildo we got them this year was a casting of our other roommates penis :)
oh hey mia whatâs up
reblog to keep up with the theatre dildo roommates
a merriest of christmases from all of us at the corn dildo house â¤ď¸
mia won more dildos off the internet and now theyâre on our fridge :(
Wtf, why is this how Iâm learning about this years dildo?
IS THAT WHAT YOU MAILED TO ME AT THE FARM???
mia just got these in the mail today if you wanna know what got sent to the farm youâll have to ask her
good news i moved to a new apartment and the corn dildo mysteriously ended up in one of our boxes the legacy lives on

Gonna tell yâall what I can hear now that I got my hearing aids
Birds! They chirp and itâs so beautiful.
Far away cow moos
My friend has this is his back yard and to say I cried is an understatement.
My best friends singing voice
Chickens: *chicken noise*
Me, sobbing:
The filter for my fish tank! Bubble bubble bubble
I sit in the bass section in band. Today I could clearly hear the flutes up at the front! Theyâre not great, but I can finally hear them!
The sound of walking in sand.
Soft but kinda crunchy? Very nice sound 10/10
Me playing guitar for the first time. Took the hearing aids out. Not a very good sound⌠yet
Tree leaves in the wind. I got a little spooked at first because itâs 1 am and Iâm alone in the park but itâs a real good sound.
Bees
Let me say, it was really fucking terrifying walking past the flowering tree in my backyard and hearing zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz coming from it.
âsunlightâ by Hozier
I sat in my car alone while listening to it. I knew it would be special but wow, that was a religious experience.
Their hooves make sounds in the grass but they are completely silent. Beautiful creatures. Beautiful sound
Pine needles and pine cones make crunchy sounds!!! Oh my! Very nice
Colored pencils make a real nice scratch noise when Iâm drawing. I didnât know they did that
I forgot to add this is the beginning! But that little sniffing noise that dogs make when theyâre smelling the air or the ground? Wonderful!
OCEAN!!!!!!
So there was just an entire booth full of wind chimes for sale at mountain fair. It started to get a little windy and they all went off at once. It was so pretty.
This is the most beautiful post on this whole site
MAMMA MIA! (2008) + tags about Colin Firth
does anyone have that gif set handy where an interviewer asks Colin Firth âso when you meet the Creator at the pearly gates when you die - what do you hope heâll say?â and Colin Firth replies: âI thought you were quite good in Mamma Mia.â
Colin Firth understood the assignment.
Learning this was an intentional genocide changed me.
I know most of those following me know this, but just to make it super clear. An Gorta MĂłr (The Great Hunger/the Great Famine) was a deliberate genocide of the Irish people. There was enough food grown in Ireland to make sure everyone was alive and healthy and survived. Instead it was exported, sent to England and elsewhere for profit while men, women, and children starved in the streets. While the English landlords fucked off and evicted starving families who couldnât afford rent. While babies were too weak to cry and died at the side of the road.
They tried to kill us, but they did not succeed. And we owe so much thanks to the other oppressed peoples, in particular the Choctaw Nation and the Masai, who sent money and grain to us.
Let me repeat that. The Choctaw Nation who had just gone through the Trail of Tears sent us money to try save Irish lives. Itâs led to an understanding between Irish people and Native American tribes, most recently when we donated to the Navajo and Hopi fundraisers for COVID-19 relief, because while it may be a different tribe, Irish people will never forget those who helped us and weâll help back.
The entire population of the island is less than seven million people. Weâre still a million less on this island than pre famine. And itâs not that long ago. My grandmotherâs grandparents lived through it. Weâve told the stories, it literally changed the DNA of the country. We have a national fear of renting, because so many people were evicted. People joke about Irish people always offering loads of food, but itâs because thereâs that cultural memory of not being able to.
They tried to kill us, but they did not succeed. We will not let them take our lives, we will not let them take our language. We lost so much, but we will not lose it all.

The health care system often neglects womenâs postpartum concerns, from physical pain to psychological anguish. Many women assume this is wh
also here is a very sobering article. Nothing new here from my perspective but if people keep talking about it, maybe more change will happen.
I do not understand why women want to bear children with their own uteruses when there are risks to the motherâs health and taking the risk that the child is going to be healthy once itâs born. Adoption seems like by far the better option. Plus it seems like the option that does more good in the world where youâre not adding to the world population AND giving a family to a child in need of one. But I donât have any drive to be a parent so I donât really understand (but am curious!) what makes reproducing people tick. Is it the closeness of having carried the child yourself that women want, or the fact that the child is genetically of them that is so important to folks?
The issue here is not that birth is a physically taxing and potentially dangerous endeavor so why give birth at all- human beings are like any other living creature; we have a biological desire and drive to procreate and for most people have given birth, the rewards of parenthood are enough to justify the experience of giving birth. In this very article about birth trauma, there are multiple women who went on to have more children. That is a 100% valid choice and proof, Iâd say, that they feel rewarded by parenthood in some way.
The issue here is that birth is a physically taxing and potentially very dangerous endeavor, and our society does not treat that with the respect it deserves which leads to mothers/other birthing people getting injured or very ill or dying from completely preventable situations.
The other issue here is that medical personnel and society at large doesnât view the mother as a fully realized human being who needs to be cared for outside of the context of her keeping her fetus alive, and when you ask questions like âwell why donât you just adopt?â in the context of âgiving birth is dangerous,â you are completely ignoring the fact that those adopted babies donât just pop out of thin air. They have a birth mother who faces the same risks any other person in the delivery room does. Why should we be okay with them taking the risks we wouldnât take ourselves?
Whether you mean to or not, statements like that put birthing people/parenthood into two classes- those who have the money and resources to avoid the risk that comes with labor and adopt vs. those who should go through the risk to provide the babies. Birth mothers/surrogates are people, not incubators. Your question shouldnât be âwhy would you give birth when itâs so dangerous and not just adopt?â It should be âwhy are we allowing anyone giving birth to be harmed or die from completely preventable dangers?â

The look on her face when she realizes
Hereâs what they said if you didnât understand-
Interviewer: What do you think about starting an initiative on campus here at UK, to be more inclusive to women who have penises? So we can put urinals in the womens restroom for them.
Student: Sounds fantastic.
Interviewer: Oh, does it?
Student: Yeah.
Interviewer: What about- Letâs take it one step closer, y'know more- for inclusivity here on campus, but free tampons and pads in the mens restroom for men who have periods?
Student: Sounds great.
Interviewer: Ok- You dont see anything wrong with those statements?
Student: No.
Interviewer: What men do you know with periods?
Student: I generally use- ones like in Willy T* have pads, I use them pretty often.
*(Willy T is the college nickname for their library Iâve heard.)
I attend this school and I can confirm 2 things. Yes, our big library is indeed called Willy T AND the day that this stank bitch came to campus everyone was losing their MINDS and kept walking by in hopes of getting chosen to call her out. Immaculate.
i. am on the floor. wheezing. the moment she realizes that not only is she talking to a trans man,, but that SHE COULDNâT CLOCK HIM,, this is high art and i want it written in Big Wedge sharpie on my wall
okay, idk where the clip was, but there was another bit where she was talking to this frat-boy looking dude:
bennett: so do you think we should put tampons and pads in the menâs restroom? dude: sure, I mean, I donât really care. if a dude needs a tampon, he can have one. bennett: but would he need one? like, what would he use it for? dude, thoroughly unimpressed: I donât know, thatâs his problem.
and I just love that guyâs energy. So much of the trans bathroom talk is invasive and way too personal, and then thereâs this guy like âyeah, why the fuck would I need to know? why do you need to know, you weirdo?â
My good people, I give you: Amatonormativity.
Transcript (with spaces added for accessibility):
âYou and this perfect person, who youâve never met before, to come out of nowhere, fit into your life perfectly, complete you, and make you whole for the first time in your life, like your mother did for me.â
And even though what he said sounds sweet and whatever, the way it manifested to my seven-year-old self is, âIf you are not with someone, you are broken. If you are not with someone, you are incomplete. If you are not with someone, you are not whole.â
And thatâs not just something that my dad made me feel, thatâs something that we as a society for the last 40 years has made every single child feel. Every Disney prince has a princess, every princess has a prince, and every television show or movie always has a character in it that doesnât want to be in a relationship. Theyâre happy with who they are. But guess what, by the end of the series? They were wrong! They were wrong for wanting to be alone, the fucking idiot!
Itâs all to do with love. Everyone needs someone. And when you raise children in that world, where everything points towards love, when youâve raised them for 18 fucking years, when you become an adult for the first time in your late teens and early 20âs, weâre so terrified.
Weâre so trying to be an adult that some of us will take the wrong person, the wrong jigsaw, and force them into our jigsaws anyway. Iâm going to force this fucking person into our lives because itâs much better to have something than nothing.
Then five years later, youâre stood looking at this jigsaw you donât recognize, being like, âAh! Thereâs a fucking cunt in the middle of this!â And in that moment, you have a very, very difficult question to ask yourself. Do I admit the last five years of my life have been a waste? Do I waste the rest of my life?
My generation has become so obsessed with starting the rest of their lives that they give up the one that theyâre currently living. We have romanticized the idea of romance, and it is cancerous. People are more in love with the idea of love than they are with the person they are with. The worst thing you can do with your life is to spend it with the wrong human being.
