It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. Share and donate as much as you can. https://docs.google.com/document/d/178EGDFKkHlh3y4TMVX82kqgITHsqtoMdNccI2f_94Os/edit?usp=sharing

Would anyone be willing to donate to Roaa Al-Madhoun's fundraiser and add them to the list? They are trying to raise money to be in safety. They are in very inhumane conditions and are currently in a dire financial situation.

“Liberals won’t stop telling communists to ‘study poli sci/civics’ because they assume that communists can’t possibly know any of that! Just because we are communists!”
No, I know multiple self-described communists with graduate degrees in those things (and I also don’t self-identify as a liberal, nor do most people you’re bitching about for that matter; I’ve actually read multiple books of Marxist theory, I’m not ceding “leftist” to a bunch of you goofs who have only read Tumblr posts and DPRK state propaganda, lmao). I’m well aware that plenty of communists do in fact understand how their governments work; we are all ALL aware that “understanding” and “agreeing with” are not the same thing.
The reason people are telling YOU that you need to “study civics” is because you keep saying things that make it clear that you do not have even the most 101, high-school-level understanding of American (or whatever country in question’s) civics.
When you say stupid shit like “Biden is responsible for the overturning of Roe v. Wade” (decided by the SCOTUS, and no one Biden appointed was on the court at the time and everyone appointed by Democrats decided against that) or “voting third party is the real way to stick it to the man” (literally every time in American history a third party has done well, it’s just ensured the major party most ideologically distant from itself won) or “why won’t the Democrats in Congress do anything about [state law that they have no power over]” or “[horrible thing that happened in deep red state with zero Democrats in state-level offices] is the Democrats’ fault!” then yeah, people are going to tell you to study civics because YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND BASIC CIVICS.
It has nothing to do with your political affiliation. But uh, maybe there’s a reason that the people who get this response the most on this website are so many self-described “communists” (by which I mean, LARPers in red clothing who really just get off on having the most extreme opinions).
Or like, similarly, that a lot of supposed “communists” in this website seem to spend the majority of their time stanning for regimes like Vladimir Putin’s that are their ideological opposites and that actual leftists in their own countries oppose!
Those actual, educated communists I know would all find you deeply embarrassing. So speak for yourselves.
Thank you for this post, I'm trying to become more educated and try to understand leftist voters. And civics in general to be honest. Just multiple topics of government, political theory and philosophy so I can better understand different viewpoints. But I have seen many examples of people saying these things that you cite in your post and even though I agreed with some leftists viewpoints. I disagree with the notion that voting third party or not voting in general just won't do anything about Palestine for example. Again, I'm not fully confident in this opinion because I don't know alot but I do know that this is a historic pattern.
Gomez and Morticia Addams got divorced. I woke up mortified and with a sense of inexplicable dread.
you literally don’t need any other plot and i would watch the movie
Every 'normal' adult is fussing around Pugsley and Wednesday because "poor children that must be so hard for you to see mom and dad break up like this"
But the kid are absolutely unfazed, arguing that "it's alright they will be together again soon". The normie are so sad for the "children clinging to vain hopes" until Morticia and Gomez get married again two weeks after the divorce.
In the meantime Mama and Uncle Fester fight about which one of them will go to whose custody.
They pretend to argue in court and at meeting with lawyers over the splitting of the properties but that's mostly Gomez insisting to leave more and more thing to his wife in an angry voice.
At home they decided not to talk to each other so Lurch has to (begrudgingly) transmit messages from one to the other, even when they are sat on either side of the table.
That works (more or less) then Morticia says one word in french and Gomez run to cover her with kisses until Morticia remind him that they are spliting (that's the only moment he seems to regret the whole thing)
This. All of this.

By Olivia Rosane
Common Dreams
Aug. 13, 2024
"You supported sending more U.S.-made bombs being used to commit war crimes... How can you say you are for respecting international human rights laws?" Tlaib asked.
U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib had harsh words for Secretary of State Antony Blinken as he attempted to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions while enabling what many experts consider to be Israel's genocide in Gaza.
"The United States reaffirms our steadfast commitment to respecting international humanitarian law and mitigating suffering in armed conflict," Blinken wrote on social media Monday. "We call on others to do the same."
Tlaib responded early Tuesday, "Is this a joke?"
"You supported sending more U.S.-made bombs being used to commit war crimes," Tlaib continued. "The government of Israel bombed hospitals, schools, and tents full of displaced Palestinians. How can you say you are for respecting international human rights laws?"
Tlaib also shared a link to an Amnesty International USA report from April finding that U.S. weapons sent to Israel had been used in violation of both international and U.S. law and calling for an "immediate suspension" of weapons transfers to the country.
The U.S. is Israel's leading arms supplier, providing it with 69% of its weapons imports between 2019 and 2023. This has continued in the wake of Israel's war on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023 in response to Hamas' deadly attack on southern Israel.
The Geneva Conventions of 1949 enshrine protections for vulnerable populations during armed conflict, including wounded soldiers and first responders, prisoners of war, and civilians. They include prohibitions on torture and the targeting of hospitals, and mandate that occupying powers provide food and medical supplies to civilian populations. Despite this, Israel has made it so difficult to get supplies into Gaza that famine has spread across the territory. Reports emerged last week that Palestinians in Israeli custody were subjected to systematic abuse, including rape. And Israel has routinely used U.S. weapons to target civilian areas and infrastructure in Gaza.
"The rest of the world has spent the last 10 months defending international humanitarian law from us."
Days before Blinken's remarks commemorating the conventions, the Biden administration approved $3.5 billion in new military funds to Israel, as well as new weapons shipments. Hours later, Israel reportedly used U.S.-made weapons to target the al-Tabin school in Gaza, killing around 100 people, including at least 11 children.
"Few people have done more to make the Geneva Conventions a dead letter," author Hari Kunzru wrote in response to Blinken's 75th anniversary commemoration message.
Beyond Gaza, the U.S. under President Joe Biden has also refused to state whether or not the Fourth Geneva Convention protecting civilians in armed conflict and occupied territories applies to Israeli treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank. In particular, it has not acknowledged that the convention would prohibit Israeli settlements in the territory altogether.
Tlaib and Kunzru were not the only people to criticize Blinken for his statement.
"Irony is dead," wrote human rights lawyer Mai El-Sadany. "If the U.S. cared anything for the Geneva Conventions, it would not be choosing active complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity every day for the last 10 months."
Rutgers Law professor Adil Haque observed, "The rest of the world has spent the last 10 months defending international humanitarian law from us."
Qasim Rashid, also a human rights lawyer, said, "An actual commitment to respecting international humanitarian law would mean you stop funding [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu as he commits genocide of Palestinians."
Institute for Middle East Understanding Policy Project policy director Josh Ruebner responded to a separate message that Blinken had posted on the State Department website.
"Nope, Secretary Blinken," Ruebner wrote on social media. "You don't get to praise the Geneva Conventions when you're rushing weapons to Israel to enable it to violate almost every single clause in the convention as it continues to inflict genocidal violence against Palestinians in Gaza."
why are people freaking out about the debate biden didnt even do rhat badly
He got better later on. But his presentation was mediocre. He stuttered, his voice was sore and he looked tired sometimes.
But he didn't do terribly, I feel like everyone saw a completely different debate. He answered questions better than trump who went off tangent way too much. And even though Biden stuttered, he was able to answer the questions coherently and effectively. (My opinion)
he answered like a politician tbh 🤷
i honestly to not see his stutter as a problem, but i know a lot of leftists like to be ableist about that (not saying you personally are, this is about leftists and liberals in general)
Nah I feel you honestly. I have a stutter too and I hate how people take Biden out of context to make him seem senile.
I agree, his answers were good over all but his cold made him sound way worse. At least he wasn’t pulling things out of his ass like Trump was.
Fr, bro just brought up the same talking points over and over again
hey yall aren’t actually voting for either of them yeah right cause of the genocide yeah
Hey sorry didn't see this but here's my response.
Now Harris is on the ticket, I want to be really clear. What is happening in Palestine needs to stop, Israel has run on apartheid and the killing of Palestinians for decades and decades.
I do not support providing arms to Israel and I think there should be an embargo. The Biden-Admin needs to be held accountable.
That being said, I'm sorry, but the little third party candidates you guys see like Jill Stein or anyone else is just not going to be president, and not voting just won't help.
We are the United States of America, if we don't get our act together here, how can we fix the rest of the world? If Trump is elected it won't be just Palestine that's an issue, but MORE issues will spring up such as our basic civil rights protections potentially being taken away. Not voting in this election, in my opinion is like trying to reach for the finish then falling into a deep hole. You want to race for best morally superior option then end up in an even worse situation.
I'm not saying I'm totally right and I'm trying to be more educated on politics and world issues in general. But that's my opinion from the information I have taken in from reading.
Help Me Pursue My Education and Rebuild My Future 🙏🍉
Hi everyone, 👋
I’m Mahmoud, a 17-year-old from Gaza, and I'm reaching out with a heartfelt plea. The ongoing conflict has shattered my dreams and destroyed my school, leaving my family and me struggling for basic necessities. But I refuse to let these challenges define my future.
I've been offered a chance to continue my education and study my final year of high school abroad once the crossing opens, where I can find safety and hope. To achieve this, I need to raise 12,000 CAD for travel, living expenses.
So please support me either by donating if you honestly can, any amount brings me closer to my goal, or by sharing and spreading the word. ❤️
Your support will not only change my life but also bring hope to my family in Gaza. Thank you. 🍉

dude idk if this has ever happened, but I think it'd be so funny if there was an episode of drivers diners and dives, and guy fieri just goes to a restaurant and watches the chef cook and explains his process... then finally he eats and gives the chef a stern look and just says "this fucking sucks" and walks out with no explanation
ultimately communists aren't even telling you not to vote, the point is that it is completely ineffective action. when you ask 'why shouldn't we vote? we can vote and do other stuff' it is as if you had been proposing prayer as a solution to fascism and scolding anyone who said otherwise - even if your argument is 'there's no reason not to try', it implies an incredible and grave misunderstanding of what is and is not an effective means of political action. like... sure. go ahead and pray, to god or to Democracy, and buy fair-trade while you're at it, but if we're being honest, here, I think the defensiveness over it shows not genuine faith, but a desperation to engage with a system that clearly does not work, but whose alternative appears scary and unclear to you.
I'm very ignorant when it comes to politics, government, and the philosophy of politics in general. But we only have 3 months until the election starts. I've seen lots of comments under your post describing that we must not engage in voting because we are only upholding a system which has disregarded it's citizens/the working class for a long long time.
The thing I don't understand is, while yes, our rights can be taken away under any political party, Democrat and Republican. And even though the parties have different values and policies. The values they do share are they only serve corporate interests and do not care for us.
However, I don't think we have enough time to be discussing a total revolution here (I'm going to be honest, I think I might be totally misunderstanding your post and please let me know if I am) but I do know that a communist or a socialist revolution will only work if an uprising or a revolution takes place if my knowledge is correct. We only have 3 months, what do we do in the meantime? Do we just wait until one day everybody decides to band up and say "Hey, we're not going to take this anymore?" Well, what do we do in the meantime? I realistically don't think we'll be able to spread the type of message you and your followers suggest if Republicans are elected. They will certainly try to censor any language they deem to “harm conservative values.”
This is just something I've noticed from people who are very far-left and who do not wish to vote. Please let me know if I completely misunderstood your post, I really am trying to understand these things.
I do not think voting is ineffective, our politicians actively and have been trying for years to restrict our vote for years. I do think that it doesn't work for everything that we want as a people. But to say it doesn't do anything is just a ludicrous statement.
Hello. Am Ruth a citizen of palestine. I am in critical need of medical assistance. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor two weeks ago that requires immediate treatment. However, the recent bombing of my home in Palestine has left my family and me in a dire financial situation, making it impossible to afford the life-saving medical care I need. The conflict in Palestine has brought unimaginable suffering to many, and my family is no exception. Our home was reduced to rubble, and with it, all our savings and possessions were lost. Amidst this chaos, my health has taken a severe turn for the worse. The brain tumor I have been diagnosed with is progressing rapidly, and I am in urgent need of surgery and subsequent treatments to have any chance of survival.kindly support me. No amount is little. Thank you so much
No, you're on the list of scammers. Get the hell outta here.
Actually forcing myself to go through the fallout 4 main quest instead of putting it off forever like I usually do and I’ve gotten to the institute for the first time and tbh this place is kinda depressing. A lot of the scientists talk in this overly calm tone that grates on my nerves. Everyone talks like the world above is devoid of life or something. Everyone’s wearing the same outfits. It’s barely better than a vault. And at least vaults seem to have baseball teams and people who know how to be angry.
Shaun is also such a bitch and a bad father. The way I look at it the synths are my grandkids and I’m taking them out of his custody. I love my hundreds of robot grandkids and hate my idiot son.
Is F4 your first Fallout game?
I think that fallout is the only game series I know of that has a built in “radio”.
Like most video games have music but that’s composed music to make you feel the mood they want you to feel. Fallout games have a radio station you can turn on with a playlist of real world pop music from the 50s and 60s and a fictional radio personality to comment both on the songs and the news in the wasteland. It’s just got a playlist for you.
I usually play video games with the sound off 90% of the time so I can listen to music or YouTube videos in the background but with fallout they’ve given me an option right in the game to do what I was gonna do anyways. I only leave the sound off like 60% of the time.
Kinda bums me out you can’t meet Mr. New Vegas in game, tbh. You can meet Three Dog and Travis “Lonely” Miles in their games.
That’s so cool! I don’t play those games so I had no idea. I think a lot of people that play those games on YouTube that I’ve watched must keep the radio off to avoid copyright or something then.
I've been playing New Vegas non-stop, it's so good... The world is so immersive and I love it. I could get lost for hours.
