i think people are starting to confuse class analysis with bioessentialism. like... no not all men do this, but Men as a constructed social class do do this. that's still okay to say. that is regular material analysis of the world around us.

i dont think any of the creeps on tumblr crusading against people they decide are death-deserving child rapists would've done anything to stop my pediatrician from molesting me countless times. cuz its not about that for them. 'protecting victims' isnt the point. its about wanting people to freely abuse and murder.

i think the creeps on here stalking trans women would've gotten along really well with my pediatrician, actually. theyre the same, in a way. they like feeling powerful over those in lower social positions than them, exercising power over those who lack the social sway to resist or hold them accountable.

now ultimately, the act of fandom people ignoring female characters or nobinary-genderless-etc type characters in favor of men, that's like... materially, just by itself, pretty harmless. at worst it's going to put off people who do want to focus on the actually interesting characters. but also it's a huge fuckin indicator of the your own biases wrt patriarchy, and frankly i do think a little less of you and your opinion if the part of deltarune you choose to focus on is spamtenna.
