As a white person raised in a white supremacist society, you’re gonna fuck up sometimes. That’s just a fact. But racialized people often aren’t able/comfortable speaking up when y’all do some shit because of the power imbalance/not feeling up to educating when you may be resistant/don’t think the “fight” will be Worth It.

Show initiative without making it A Struggle or playing the white guilt card. Show you actually care about them, their struggles, and the way you interact with them BEFORE they have to have a bigger Conversation with you, beyond when they need to yell about someone else being racist.

Even close friends or partners are not necessarily safe. I have had partners dismiss accusations of racism just off hand, I have had partners treat me like a repository for knowledge on Muslim cultural practices despite the fact that *my family has been Christian since Jesus,* hell I have had a partner say I was overplaying my pain at the genocide to get sympathy.

Elon Musk’s paperwork error was the simplest and smallest of the government investigations into his business empire. He spent $290 million on the 2024 election. That’s an outrageous, unprecedented sum. And it’s also, for him, a bargain. Had Kamala Harris won, he would have remained on the hook for billions in fines. It was cheaper for him to buy the government outright than to pay what he owed. This feels like a simple parable of life in the United States in the 2020s. A handful of billionaires own everything. They are sloppy. They don’t bother to obey the rule of law. They profit as a result. And there is nothing — not even the government — that they cannot buy. It’s a story of simple corruption. It cannot last. But it is not self-correcting. This sort of everyday corruption keeps spreading until everything collapses. Systems like this break down, and then have to be rebuilt through tremendous collective effort. It’s all just so… pathetic. This was Elon’s smallest infraction, and even in this case, he refused behave as though the social contract applies to him by just paying the damn penalty. And he got away with it, because of course he did, because that is how the Supreme Court and the Trump Administration have chosen to arrange the incentives.

once again I am asking for funds to supply my community with HRT. Last year they banned HRT for ppl below 21, now they're making it harder to get a prescription even if you're already in the system (it's already very hard and takes long time to get approval), and since HRT became prescription only just 2 years ago, there's many people who are on HRT but aren't yet (or can't be) in the system who need hormones. And many ppl just can't afford to buy it even if they have prescriptions. So I do this to supply HRT FOR FREE to my community.

Once I meet a goal that means I can service the people who already rely on me and have some extra, the rest of the funds go to other countries' HRT needs (last year we raised 2000+ euros and shared a good amount of it with Lebanon, Morocco, Mali, I imagine it'll be similar this year, maybe adding other countries).
