God, people saying Caine faced no consequences for what he did drive me a bit crazy.
Firstly, my man got deleted. We see him juat curled up into a little miserable ball in the void for whats implied to be weeks at least. He's clearly unhappy.
Then, after he gets access to the wifi and searches the players, he admits he was irresponsible. He admits he was wrong. And then, he *rips the blue AI from his body* and apologizes to it.
And no, this is not the show saying it was all the Blue AI's fault that Caine acted poorly. Caine's back and forth before hand is all him, its a visual of him arguing with his rational mind and his purely emotional brain. Him ripping the Blue AI from his head is him muting his powers. He says it himself, "All this power we had together". Caine loved being powerful, being basically a God. Its where he got a lot of his worth since he couldnt get love from humans.
He lost his ability to be a God in this world. He put himself on the level of the players as much as he could. Thats his punishment, essentially a god descending to mortality. And I *can't fucking believe* how many people miss that.

I wish I could make white people(and not just white Americans) understand how diverse the pre-columbian Americas were. The history, religion, culture, politics was at least as complex as Europe's. There was the full gamut of religions, from monotheists to animists to ancestral religions. There were city building empires, village farmers, nomadic traders, and so many other ways to live. This is all just based on what we know, the fragments left behind and the stories of survivors of an apocalyptic plague. Do you understand how much poorer our whole species is because of it? Can you imagine where art, religion, and science would be if we still had these vast bodies of knowledge? The stain of the colonial project will never be fully washed clean. We owe more than just the land to those we stole from. We owe them a whole future, a future that could have been brighter for all of us. If only greed and fear weren't allowed to rule this land.
