Nas - Street's Disciple (Disc 2) (2004) This is the second disc of Nas' seventh album. It's very rare and hard to believe that somebody this far into their career can still sound this hungery, consistent, motivated and inspired; and without having any major missteps. Not to mention this is a barely flawed double album. I actually liked the second disc even more than the first there are so many impressive lines scattered all throughout this thing that i could only imagine Nas coming up with.I love of how agressive and hungry Nas sounds on more than half the tracks on the album. Nas is constantly still developing his style and experimenting with new flows/ideas that almost always work in his favor. After listening to 7 Nas albums back to back I sometimes catch myself becoming numb to Nas incredible lyicism, but its always there. Tracks like "Suicide Bounce:, "UBR", "Bridging The Gap", and "Theif's theme" stand out to me as some or the beet lyicism tracks on this disc. Nas shares some incredible, personal stories that come off very honest and genuine as well; while never sacrificing a flow or a bar. For example, songs like "Remember The Times", "Me & You", "War" and "Getting Married". I have to mention the powerful straight up banger tracks i love too. Some of my favourite examples are, "Street's Disciple", "Theif's Theme" And I absolute Love "Bridging The Gap", Bridging the Gap also has one of my favourite beats. It has this exaggerated bluesy hook and just works so well, it's iconic to ears. Overall i love this second disc. Nas seems to be flexing all his talents on one album with Street's Disciple. As a whole, some may find this lengthy, but i broke the album into 2; and it really does play like 2 separate albums but they're 2 chapters of the same story. There's a cringey line here or there but its easy to forgive because he makes up for it A thousand times over. This second disc deserves a solid 9/10 FAV TRACKS #ThiefsTheme #BridgingTheGap #SuicideBounce #StreetsDisciple #UBR ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° #nas #nastynas #rap #hiphopalbums #hiphop #music #hiphopalbum #hiphop2004 #KidsSeeGhosts #ye #daytona #nassir #classichiphop #classic #bustaryhmes #rapclassic (at Moncton, New Brunswick)
