#when recommending a show a lot of the time people have to say ‘just Get Through season 1’#‘bc it’s a bit wobbly but they were finding their tone and THEN it really gets good around s3!’#but like with#veronica mars#they absolutely smashed it from s1e1 and made a single perfect season#absolutely fulfilling the brief ‘what if a noir detective was in high school?’ and hitting an apogee in that genre concept#I mean you can just do season 1 tbh and consider it a great time that closes out on the season finale with the mystery solved#you CAN watch the seasons that came after#they definitely have their appeal#but season 1 can act as a perfect self-contained detective story

Can’t wait for, like, 2025 when we look back on the 2018/2019 era and say “hey, remember when we were all really freaking depressed? That was a crazy time! Glad we aren’t like that anymore”
