i know folks are gonna call me a pedo for this one, but i grew up seeing my mom and grandma naked. they had health issues and at times needed care and help showering. and i truly think more kids need to be shown the nonsexual reality of naked women at a young age. there is nothing sexual about my grandmothers breasts, they were simply body parts. more women die of heart attacks because people are too afraid of breasts to do real chest compressions, because they are scared to touch their breasts. the sexualization of our bodies literally kills us. i need people to be more normal about naked bodies and i'm 100% serious.

I’m gonna propose something: if your combat/ass-kicking sequence can’t fit to a top 40 female-vocalist Banger like “Toxic” or “Mama Mia” or “I Need a Hero” you’re not Doing It Right.

I agree wholeheartedly with every point above but I watched this first with the sound off because I forgot that was an option and what struck me most is how efficient Luke's lightsaber style is. Almost every flourish he makes and all of what, 2 entire spins?, is defensive to better parry blaster fire while nearly every offensive swing he makes is basically a head or chest level kill shot. If I had to make a guess about his character I'd say this vintage twink has probably Seen Some Shit and maybe comes from a background where resources are scarce and help is far away so if you get in a fight you have to end it before it starts or you're dead meat

#massive respect to richard donner for intending to cast a EuroVillain™ and then going ‘nah yeah he can play the romantic lead actually’ #unparalleled vibes which cannot be replicated by someone with captain america dentistry #like phillipe is arguably the protagonist - you have to feel like navarre is a vaguely sinister threat to him for most of act 1 #he’s rescued sure but also technically kidnapped #and navarre has to be quietly unhinged even before the animorph thing #he’s sort of inigo montoya without the light-heartedness and is a bad companion for someone trying to stay alive and out of trouble #also you know #rutger hauer is a total smoke show
