santos and al-hashimi will have a scene together demonstrating that they have formed a tentative kind of truce with each other. they have moved past their initial differences and learned to work really, really well together BUT they still have the same amount of crazy tension as in s2

the level of comfort and relaxation trinity gets from working under a female attending will be emphasised (beginning of an epiphany that robby was not a good role model for her — brings up a lot of conflicting feelings for her)

santos feels guilty/feels she owes al-hashimi a debt for how she’s made trinity’s life easier (preventing her from working with langdon while the investigation into the diversion continues, or maybe he’s suspended) — she’s perhaps a little too eager to impress/defend al-hashimi as a result, much to the surprise of everyone

baran and trinity treat a chronically ill child patient who is experiencing a bad flare-up — afterwards baran asks trinity to notify shen and dana that she’s taking 20 minutes in a dark room to prevent a seizure (as is her RIGHT under the ADA!!! THANK YOU!!!!)

lotssss of screentime together and lots of prolonged eye contact/baran smiling at a flustered/bewildered-looking trinity to feed my barantos editors mwehehe thank you

she might be able to joke with him and i’m sure they are learning more about each other because of the proximity, but she clearly struggles with having another person in her house. yes, they watch tv somewhat amicably and they like living together even if they would never say it out loud. but they are both still quite awkward around one another and trinity barely ever tells him an honest feeling unless he literally pries it out of her. and considering trinity has a history of sexual assault and harmful behavior by men, she’s still gonna cautious and attempt distance(even if she’s kinda bad at it).

she likes him, yes, of course she does. but she clearly doesn’t show that unless it accidentally slips out. she doesn’t even call him dennis, why would she ever call him ‘denny’, cuddle him, or be naked around him?
