Announced the end of all physical PS game releases

While simultaneously announcing the end of two of their console game stores — ensuring multiple games will die forever

Declared that they are wholly dedicated to (A) leveraging A.I. when making games and (B) creating live-service games above all other game types

Announced that if you bought any movies through their PlayStation Store, over 550 of them will soon be deleted from all users' libraries — with no restitution offered of any kind

Gamers, it is time — to paraphrase Robert Vann — to turn Sony's picture to the wall. Any one of these insults would be bad, and taken alone? Maybe it could be swallowed. But this is an ongoing campaign of disdain towards customers, with each declaration worse than the last.

All right, kid, here’s the deal. At any given time there are around 1500 aliens on the planet most of them right here in Manhattan. And most of them are decent enough. They’re just trying to make a living.

Dear Blokes,

I am writing this letter to apologize for all the man-hating you receive on a daily basis. I honestly have no idea how you cope as well as you do.

In recent years on social media, there’s been a never-ending stream of vitriolic articles and commentary targeting you.

It seems man-hating has become a socially accepted blood-sport, and as the daughter of a wonderful father, this upsets me greatly.

What happens to boys growing up amidst this vicious hatred? And what is it doing to our daughters?

There’s nothing courageous about raising a man-hater. We can raise kick-ass girls without destroying the male species in the process.

Acclaimed British novelist and librettist, Doris Lessing, summed it up best before her death in 2013. She said:

“We have many wonderful, clever, powerful women everywhere, but what is happening to men? Why did this have to be at the cost of men?

I was in a class of nine- and 10-year-olds, girls and boys, and this young woman was telling these kids that the reason for wars was the innately violent nature of men.

You could see the little girls fat with complacency and conceit, while the little boys sat there crumpled, apologizing for their existence, thinking this was going to be the pattern of their lives.

The teacher tried to catch my eye, thinking I would approve of this rubbish.

This kind of thing is happening in schools all over the place and no one says a thing.

It has become a kind of religion that you can’t criticize because then you become a traitor to the great cause, which I am not.

Men are being emasculated. They are being stripped of their identities and biological natures. There doesn’t seem to be a safe space for men to be men any more.

Humor isn’t allowed. Nuance and allegory are prohibited. What liberty will the outrage police take away next? When a man does raise his voice in the current climate, he is either mocked, bullied or labeled a mansplainer — he is unable to  win.

I want gender equality and sexual equality just as much as anyone else. But when the vigilantes attempt to achieve it via the degradation of men, my feathers get sweaty and ruffled and I have to speak up.

I am so proud to be the daughter of a beautiful gentleman.

I am so proud to be the aunt of a beautiful nephew.

I am so proud to have been the friend, colleague and lover of numerous beautiful men.

And with all that said, I’m sorry. Sorry that I can’t do more and affect change more regarding this man-hating issue that has spread like a disease throughout the world.

“There’s an unconscious bias in our society: girls are wonderful; boys are terrible. And to be a boy, or young man, growing up, having to listen to all this, it must be painful.”

Like the old negro saying goes…“ the people that hate you the most can’t seem to keep your name out their mouth”.

This pulls on my heartstrings. This post hit all the right points.

Hating men on the basis of their gender is such a disgusting mindset, that I find it disheartening to see it normalized so much in today’s world.

That every male you pass is evil.

Every male is inherently violent.

Every male is nothing more than a stepping stone for every woman to step on and look more amazing.

Every male is just a nobody who will be forgotten, as soon as some rubbish and heinous women comes along.

As a male, I can’t help but look at the people who claim to want equality, immediately hate on an entire group of people and still claim to be fighting for gender equality. How can you fight for equality, by enabling inequality?

Men are not angels or perfect beings. Neither side has perfect people, but that doesn’t mean we should diminish the good or amazing men in today’s world.

They fill their hearts with hate and spiritually turn themselves into demons, hollow husks devoid of personality, ready to pour the putrid ichor from their rotting spirits out on anyone who defies their doctrine.

Everyone should be denouncing such lowly existences and treating it like what it most certainly is, a cult, people need help, they need counselling and support groups, it shouldn’t be spread far and wide like the religion of the modern world but instead looked down upon as something sad and pathetic.

You know, it's bad of me to repeat this, but I would feel disingenuous if I didn't. A friend and I were talking on Discord sometime last year and the conversation turned towards the pricing of the Switch 2 and I said, verbatim:

'Nintendo knows that we are on the cusp of another video game crash, so they are trying to cash out NOW with the Switch 2'

Because, yeah, some of Nintendo's decisions going into the next gen of consoles have... Not been great, especially when it comes to pricing. But when you look at the history of the company and the state of the game industry over the past decade and some change? Yeah, this screams 'look, shit's about to hit the fan; I just need to get mine before it does'

Americans have one of the highest obesity rates in the world, yet they hold the most Olympic medals. They have a horrible education system, yet eclipse the rest of the world in scientific research. The country is filled with clueless philistines, yet their culture permeates every society, in some way, across the planet. The country is still less than three centuries old, but has spent most of it at war. They are universally hated or feared by nearly every other country on the planet, yet the first to offer help during a disaster. Their people are stubborn and never content with the way things are, and for better or worse, all of them imagine how things could be better. Every American is a bankrupt billionaire, a prince in exile, a grounded astronaut, a disgraced scientist. There are the people who do not settle for who they are, but for what they may become.

The country has her problems. Certainly their government has a lot of blood on its hands. But there is something charming about the people I can’t quite place. Even the delusional leftists or the out of touch neocons. There is a certain magic about the place that you don’t find elsewhere. There are bad parts and bad people, to be sure, but there are just as many good parts and good people. It is a land of extremes. But even the poor aren’t really that poor. Much better to be a homeless American living on the beach than literally freezing to death at a metro station in Moscow.
