It’s interesting to me how people will separate Slay The Princess into a love story about relationships and a philosophical, existential story about the question of change and life and death. Because I think one of the main points that the “love story” posits is how conflict is necessary for love in any capacity— not hatred, necessarily, but change, separation, conflicting goals.
