I've yet to check out fields of mistria 1.0 bc I'm scared of opening my save file and facing the mess I left at my farm, and also trying to remember what my routine\schedule was like

Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??

when you get crazy enough about The Character you'd think the situations you imagine them in would get more elaborate and lore intensive. but no. imagining my wizard pacing around huffily being slightly peeved at a mild inconvenience. I don’t even know what the inconvenience IS. and it's giving me enough joy to power a city for a month

how do you explain to people that spending all your pre-adolescence and adolescent years in such deep depression you didn't expect to make it past 19 and somehow making it to 30 changes your worldview. like i don't need any aspirations, i'm just vibing with my iced coffee that brings me actual joy and contentment. might chuckle at a funny post later. life's simple. it's good
