i know that her intensity here is part of what makes this scene so searable into people’s retinas. but i can’t help but want to strip away the dramatization. maybe it’s just there as part of kris’s perspective, they’ve been worrying all day about having to talk to her, so of course she’d be scary to them. but from her perspective it must feel more casual, she’s had these things at the back of her mind for awhile. i think she *would* show more intensity when actually walking into the lake, though. what she wants to do clearly still scares her. it’s just that now she knows that “kris” can push her into doing it anyway.

I really struggle to understand why Tumblr in particular is so bad about this

Most people on here are westerners, who are stupid as fuck, so the caliber of their opinions on the war often boils down to "i don't support Ukraine because I saw someone with ukraine flag post something stupid on twitter" or "i don't care about the war because it's just slavs killing each other and the more of them die the better" <- both legitimately are things real people said on here

People also let it slide because they don't care to know enough, and to them "believing all Ukrainians are Nazis who deserve death" isn't a deal-breaker of an opinion, and most of them haven't spoken to any Ukrainian outside of ragebait twitter posts
