My great grandpa Percy was born in a house without electricity the year after the Model T Ford hit the market. He was a rum-runner during prohibition. His daughter got married on the day man landed on the moon. He lived through (but did not fight in) both World Wars and died right after the Cold War ended. That is an insane lifetime to live. I keep complaining about how much has happened in my first 25 years of life but that guy survived a pandemic as a child (his future wife’s mother died during it) and was running illegal alcohol at my age.
