What do you love about Minthara?
extremely intelligent, decisive, and pragmatic woman who believes in brutality as a tool but not a bludgeon. an exploration of an "evil" character who loves deeply and truly and who's immorality does not detract from her character at all. perhaps the only companion in the game who's story is directly and specifically tied to the main quest. her mind in a cold fortress except to you, who get to see her yearn for affection and the touch of another, who bears the scars of betrayal from menzoberrazen through to orin. the narrative lets her be incredibly strong and incredibly violent and vengeful while never making her seem inhuman or robbing her of her complexity. she is a villain and she is a victim and also she doses her love interest with poison so they build up an immunity in case anyone tries to kill them. she is everything.
