the first thing i was reminded of after seeing that on board of george’s dnf was austria. this shit is tragically poetic. so similar in the way he extends his hands but so unimaginably different at the same time. it’s the difference between the rising feeling of hope and the crushing fall of realisation.

I hate the "the FIA has beef with Lewis and they're conspiring against him specifically" discourse because it makes everybody act like well it's personal beef they hate him specifically so there's nothing that can be done about it like there isn't obvious organizational issues in the FIA (yes, including racism) that affect actually the entire sport AND more than F1 and against which action absolutely could and should be taken but nobody does while it's turning into a MBS dictatorship.

i have taken to listening to this year on loop every race weekend… i like to think even if it doesn’t improve George’s luck it does make ME more able to cope with the Horrors of this season (also i thought you were the right audience for this due to your gorgeous web weaves)
