I once played a pretty fun minecraft mod called Ad Astra! It added in a few simple things like unique metals with which to make different pieces of equipment and vehicles for space travel, and it let you go to different planets in the solar system, with the final reward planet being a fun wacky fake planet with neat resources! It was a well made mod, though some aspects of it were frustrating, like how your rocket's launch and landing coordinates were connected to each other, meaning if you wanted to get back to your base on earth, you'd have to launch your rocket from the some location your landed, OR you'd have to walk all the way back to your house. I think that there was a missed opportunity to add some expensive mid-tier equipment, like a Smart Launch Pad, as opposed to the standard launch pad, which acted as a landing point you could select on any given planet. It might be a little overpowered arguably, but I think that the fuel cost (crude oil, or Cryotheum depending on how far into the mod's progression tree you were) would still be a good offset to its excessive benefits. Besides, in my opinion, minecraft progression trees are all about living frugally, and then living with some perks while still surviving, to thriving totally, to completely overpowered, and I think that the addition of the Smart Launch Pad would fit really well into it. Maybe before you get to one of the last planets.
