I don’t know what about him but?? I really love Hiyori. The parallels shown during the ED was enough for me. He was seen paralleled with /Makoto/.

Makoto, of all people.

Makoto seemed to be the one person LEAST likely to have a parallel with Hiyori, and the fact that they’re seen together in the ED is no coincidence.

Hiyori cares about Ikuya the same way Makoto cares about Haruka. He shows it in ways harsher than Makoto does. While Makoto is complacent and more willing to step away in order to let Haruka do what he wants, Hiyori cares about Ikuya so much he will go to EXTREME lengths to make sure that Ikuya is safe.

In a way, he and Makoto are similar. Their ultimate love and care for their best friends is what makes them so unique.

the way Hiyori pretentiously tells off Haruka and the others to stay away from Ikuya was because of one thing:::: He didn’t want Ikuya to feel upset. Hiyori knew Ikuya had an inferiority complex whenever he was with Haru, because Hiyori KNEW Ikuya emulated Haru in every way, and he didn’t want Haru, of all people, to talk to Ikuya because he knew Ikuya would feel inferior again and possibly end up hurting himself in the process. Hiyori’s hostility towards Haruka, Makoto, and Asahi wasn’t a preferable choice of action, but Hiyori was only rude and hostile because he /cared/ about Ikuya. The same way Makoto stood up against Hiyori to fight in Haru’s name.

so yes. i’m very excited for Road to the Future. I wanna see more Hiyori/Makoto parallels ~
