I don't understand how people read about how Jesus spent time with and helped out prostitutes and think to themselves "Jesus supported prostitution" instead of "Jesus knew that most if not all women in prostitution were forced into it and that they were routinely abused by their clients. He knew that many of them were desperate to escape that life but felt too impure to do so. He helped those women, told them there sins were forgiven and to sin no more, and those women were able to leave their lives of prostitution behind thanks to his help and mercy."

Similar reminder that the other people Jesus regularly hung out with were TAX COLLECTORS which means if your takeaway is "Jesus hanging out with sinners means he supported their lifestyle", that would also mean he was fully a supporter of tax collecting, which definitely doesn't fit in with the concept of Jesus as a perfectly politically-correct socialist moral teacher. But Jesus makes it clear, the reason he hangs out with these people is that they're sinners AND they know they're sinners, which means they're far more open to listening and receiving grace.
