brrr goes the braincells

Hello! It has been a while.

This is a quick update on what's been happening with me. I have been working on this Zelda-Not-Zelda piece since October 2025.

And it has since turned into a 9 page comic. 4 pages are outlined and the rest has already been drafted and ready for outlining. It's just been very slow due to my job as a medical admin in a children's hospital. And energy levels are very flux due to my ADHD brain.

Anywho, I am fighting to get this done soon! So, have these three panel sketch previews. I did have to redraw the first two panels.

Other things, I recently attended the Smash! Anime Convention last weekend. Cosplayed as Akari from Pokemon Legends Arceus with my Rowlet doll (for Sunday attendance). I had a very fun time then!

I may post something about that on my instagram soon. I highly recommend following my Instagram socials for more casual posting. Especially for previews on my story.

As for this tumblr blog, I'll be doing a bit of maintenance to clean up this blog and tag list.

Happy 2nd anniversary to A Link to the Stars!!!

@coffebits and @abbyz-elda have done SUCH an amazing job crafting this story, taking a fun concept above and beyond into the distant stars. I had a blast drawing and painting this, and took a lot of inspiration from the beautiful illustrations of Coffebits for the series. If you haven't read the story yet, I highly encourage you to do so! It's like Zelda meets Star Wars but still very much its own story, and is a wonderfully fun, romantic, nail-biting, and exciting tribute to the Zelda series as a whole. Thanks for this art challenge Coffebits! (I had SO much fun with the planets and photographs!)

Everyone forgets about the fireshield earrings!

Probably a stretch to say they'd canonically prevent at least mild pain in a campfire, but they absolutely do extinguish Sky/Link any time he catches fire in his game. Which is more often than you'd think >u< (for the purposes of the comic this is a completely pain-free prank for Sky lol)

The sharpest, best-trained pilots make worse decisions when they're tired or sick or stressed out, so there's two of them. The most dedicated and experienced air traffic controllers garble an instruction over the radio sometimes, so pilots are trained to always repeat clearances back to catch misunderstandings quickly. The best and brightest maintenance mechanic still overlooks a screw or misconnects a wire once or twice in her career, so aircraft systems are built with two or three or four layers of redundancy, and pilots are exhaustively trained to deal with failures safely.
