I dont know exactly who he means. But Asgore is describing how he wants to violently murder a person and parade their corpse for the purpose of mostly just his own ego and to be proven "right". Just like in undertale, he resorts to violence out of his own selfishness and emotions.

In that sense, despite presenting himself as a gentle soul, Asgore is ultimately a man who will take innocent lives as he lashes out from his own pain, losing his children or in this case being seperated from them. He's kinda the antithesis of the whole concept of mercy, guess that's why he broke the button lol.

He canonically neglected Kris, used them to deliver flowers to their mother which led to Kris unwillingly participating in activities that made their mother uncomfortable and never was there to support them for anything. Like guys he's always been selfish. If he genuinely cared about Kris he would have liked, stopped and showed some self awareness maybe reach out to them but he didn't because he was never thinking about Kris in that regard. He himself admitted to it. That's why he never reached out to them specifically because he was NEVER thinking about them.

And before anyone comes for me. Yes Kris could have said something but also Asgore is their parent and is the adult in the situation and should have some self awareness. If there is someone i am gonna have beef over the situation it's gonna be the neglectful father than the kid who is already drowning in guilt and is dealing with so much bullshit.

Also reminder he never was looking for Dess because he missed her. He just wanted to prove he was right. What a guy! And yes this is also something we know about him since chapter 4.

Now does this make Asgore evil? Well not in the traditional sense but I do think people need to understand that this guy was always doing something horrible because he was selfish. I have seen way too many people defend this man for years for how he treats Kris and also downplay how he treats Toriel and the Dess part never gets mentioned, whatever. Thank god this chapter made everyone realise that this guy is nuts. Even if he's not inherently evil in the traditional sense he's still such an asshole to his family. Caring only about his ego rather than grow some self awareness and actually helped the kid who he neglected and unintentionally used for literal years. Like. I am sorry. I know i am coming across as extremely harsh.

So glad that the knight took that guy away because right now this guy doesn't deserve an ending where he could just insert himself into Kris's life willingly. I'll say it again for people in the back.

Kris deserves to have a say in the matter because they were neglected by Asgore.

All the victims of childhood neglect deserve to have a say in the matter whether they want to be reconnected to their families or not.

You meet a prince of the dark. The prince seems unhappy with who he is. He wishes he didn't have to be a prince, but he doesn't feel like he's allowed to change. His choices don't matter. Your choices don't matter.

You need to keep up appearances around your new friends. You try to kill the part of you that doesn't fit your facade, the part that tells the prince he can be what he wants to be, the part that gets angry at your friend for ditching you for someone so much like you, except for her being a real dragon, the part of you that's trying to escape the cage. You hurt it, you try to kill it, you try to stash it away, but you can't truly live without that part of you that you try to repress. That part of you that your true friends slowly learn to like, to accept, but you've been taught your whole life that you cannot be loved for who you want to be, so you must hurt that part of you that thinks it can make choices. Because all you've ever been taught is that you can't have real horns, you can't be a real dragon, there is a bottle of shampoo for boys in your drawer, you cannot change what you are prophesized to be, your. name. is. KRIS.
