AUGUHHHJHH in every lawlight fic. any mention of L giving light his name as a sign of trust fucking wrecks me. in some it's a show of his lack of self preservation. in others its whispered while cuddling in bed years into their relationship. i read one where he gives it to Light in a code and it freaks light out so bad he tries straight up strangling L before he learns L doesnt just want to die, he *only* wants to die by lights hand. im going to kill somebody.

I need everyone to understand that if you ignore Misa/the relationship between Light and Misa, and only are interested in his relationship with L, you are missing out on 1/3 of what makes Death Note and Light’s character so great. Pay attention to Misa NOW notice her nuances NOW give her agency in her choices NOW see her as Light’s equal NOW.
