TRAGICALLY, MY BABY QAIS IS STILL FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE IN INTENSIVE CARE.
He has not left the intensive care unit. Machines are breathing for him while I stand beside his bed, praying every second that he will open his eyes again.
His blood has become dangerously weak, and every conversation with the doctors feels like a sentence waiting to be spoken. I keep praying someone will give baby Qais another chance before his treatment slips beyond my reach forever.
I am begging you as a persecuted mother in Gaza, watching my baby bleed in front of me, unable to stop it. Please donate now and help me save his life before itβs too late.
Please donate now Gofundme
I have nothing left except hope in people whose hearts still have room for compassion. Please help baby Qais receive the treatment he urgently needs. Your donation today could help us continue fighting for his life.
I am standing outside the ICU, waiting for any sign that he is still fighting, but every second feels like a goodbye I am not ready for. Please donate now and help me save my baby Qais.
please help Qais and Esraa, please donate!

Spamton G. Spamton, commonly referred to as simply Spamton, was a culture hero and folk deity that rose to prominence in the earliest period of the American Century of Humiliation
one thing i think wildbow does really well as an author is put the protagonist back in a situation they were in earlier in the story as a way to show how the protagonist has changed and not necessarily for the better
like in worm when taylor goes to arcadia, its just so fucking obvious how much shes slipped into her skitter persona over the course of the story by how she reacts to emma
its a bit different but, in pact, seeing how blakes relationship and thoughts on his friends shifts such that he kinda just moves past something that would have crushed him at the start

most of my criticisms of transgendervoicesproject were me linking to things she said on her own blog, so of course she can't address those directly or else she'll draw attention to the many very valid things she is being criticized for. so instead she just has to keep ramping up her campaign to get my blog deleted
so if my blog vanishes before I can properly come back then. well it's been nice knowing yall lol π«Ά
she has now started liberally breaking her own rule against references to specific names and usernames, throwing the doors open for any terf who feels like it to AI generate an accusation against any specific trans woman they hate and chuck it anonymously into her askbox. the rules she copied from transfem voices project existed for a reason
TVP was designed the way it was to resist hijacking by the very types of people who made the project necessary in the first place. it's not enough to wag a finger at terfs and tell them to stay away, like transgendervoicesproject seems to think. you have to design your rules to resist allowing hate groups to hijack your project right under your nose
throughout the 330 survivor stories in TVP, there were many many many times that a transfem would describe her rapist turning around and pointing the finger at her, and it would work. simple, basic darvo, and it works so especially well because years of propaganda have already primed people to believe such things about transfems. this is a very easy tool for abusers to reach for. platforming whatever anonymous accusation comes your way is not a way to support survivors. in many instances it will further harm survivors
...you know, not that TGVP has ever done a good job of pretending to care about survivors. TGVP is not for or about survivors. it is about pushing a transmisogynistic narrative
i have decided that the only way for a dead by daylight type game to be good is if they make it a friendslop. no matchmaking or ranks or live service shit. just run around after your friends going bleeeeh and theyre all like aaaaa haha noooo and hiding in lockers and stuff. attempting to make that game competitive completely takes away from the joy of pretending to be a scary killer going after people
pet play but its with insects
oh yeah baby youre my sexy little deer fly
Whatever. Cum my scarab.
Love the asexual tranny too, btw
not every social interaction has to be rooted in sexuality and the second a lot of girls start denying their body to others they lose a lot of opportunities for connection and I think a lot of us pretend it just doesn't happen like that
It's true π«©
Once i tried messaging a girl. She acted really uncomfortable around me and then went "oh, you're one of those asexual perverts? I really don't know how to interact now."
Which is kind of just openly admitting you only know how to interact with people sexually? Aside from that being just blatant phobia.
And it doesnt just stop there. People think me being asexual is permission for them to ask me uncomfortable personal questions about my sexuality.
Most people still treat asexuality like it isn't real, or inferior to other sexualities. Most people tell me I'm not asexual bc I am still horny. I've actually gotten the "you just havent found the right fuck" bullshit.
Love the asexual tranny or fucking block me or go get hit by a bus. Idc.
Ive seen a few people get mad about the tweet that says "this has been talked about extensively, youre just 21" on the basis that the poster is referring to a trans girl talking about silence of the lambs.
And look, okay, listen. I have a film degree. Im not in any an expert on cinema nor am I a film scholar but I do have some higher formal education on the topic, and I am a trans person who has, unfortunately, been 21. Here's my 2 cents:
Firstly, trans-coded villains in horror movies (namely the "man in a dress" archetype) is pretty cinema 101. It IS so extensively talked about that you were probably drawing an eye in the back of the lecture hall if you dont remember anything being said about it. If you ever take a horror movie class specifically then you are absolutely guaranteed to have this conversation and have the plethora of scholarship about it thrown at you for required reading.
Secondly, I do not like this idea that simply being a bit rude or short with someone of a particular demographic is always and exclusively rooted in a prejudice towards the identity group(s) they are a part of. There is a VERY big difference between active transphobia and just being a bit of a dick, and conflating the two is going to make things very messy and potentially dangerous. For starters, you are going to create an extremely paranoid and jumpy bunch of young trans people who are absolutely convinced that the entire world is out to kill them when they inevitably encounter some random asshole in the real world. And you are going to give a whole bunch of conservatives a whole bunch of ammunition to say that we think every minor inconvenience or moment of discomfort is a targeted attack against us, frankly because you are acting like it is.
Additionally, every 21 year old has a very weird superiority complex. I did, you did/do/will. It just comes with the territory. Youre having your first taste of true independence and are probably in undergrad, which is an environment that drip-feeds you a lot of rewards for doing essentially what you just did in high school again but at a slightly higher difficulty with less social ostracism. If you live on your own or in the dorms with other 21 year olds, you will all just feed into each other's superiority complexes. You end up convinced that you and your friends are the smartest people alive and the first ones to ever come up with certain ideas, that I promise have been thought of by millions of 21 year olds before you. This includes "has anyone else noticed that trans-coded villains are common in horror movies?" And I think its justified to have a bit of a reality check in someone saying "yes, everyone has, this has been discussed extensively for generations, youre just 21."
Finally, I do not appreciate in the slightest the response to this tweet being "silence of the lambs has no artistic merit and should be scrubbed from the media landscape entirely because of Buffalo Bill." If you personally are not comfortable with/do not have the ability to look past the trans-coded villain archetype you dont have to watch it, but to act like the presence of a poorly-aged trope completely negates all the very real positive impact a foundational film did for modern horror is infuriatingly anti-intellectual and betrays your one-dimensional morality around media, as well as your complete inability to look at something objectively.
As one final thought, the idea that a snippy tweet about being frustrated with typical 21 year old behavior is "ageist" is the most 21 year old shit ive ever heard. Truly impressive levels of missing the point.
"Actually its woke to make fun of transfems complaining about transmisogyny in films. " You really go on this whole rant here about how uniquely inflated 21 year olds egos get while this whole post drips with condescenscion. (,and your bio goes on and on about how smart you are for going to college, in the same way you just made fun of 21 year olds for thinking?)
That whole section that seems to understand every 21 year old as a smug sheltered pseudo-intellectual attending college really does nothing but tell on yourself. That's not all 21 year olds dude, that's just who you and your friends were at 21.
You NEED your emotional support transmisogyny movie, and transfems complaining about it are just being overly sensitive and "giving conservatives ammunition". What kind of respectability politics bullshit?
Not every time someone is mean to you is it evidence of bigotry, but people tend to be a whole lot more comfortable being dickheads to marginalized people. For example, you pulling out this multiparagraph defense of condescending to a trans woman complaining about transmisogyny.
I'm so glad *you* can forgive the transmisogyny of the movies you like, but it's really not your place to make that call as a person who is *not the target of it.*
My god the stupidest takes on this site always start with "As someone who attended a college freshman general class on this topic let me learn you fuckos a thing :3"
So glad we have a man around to tell us we're just being hysterical bitches.

βWe need a robust impersonal state-sponsored safety net for the elderly, disabled, and mentally ill, because not even severely antisocial people should be left on their own to dieβ is a statement that i agree with. But itβs an issue i think people tend to oversimplify, because well. caring for insane bigoted old people sucks ass
When people invoke this sentiment, i think they often make the same error seen in, say, calls for stronger online content moderation: a lack of consideration for who is going to do this work.
In the US today, around a quarter to a third of aides and caregivers for the elderly are immigrants [1, 2], the vast vast majority of whom are women. (From what I can tell) a major reason for this is that nursing or social work degrees/certification programs provide a straightforward (well, relatively) pathway to citizenship or permanent residency; and many simpler caregiver jobs only require a high school diploma, which is useful for immigrants in the US who may not be able to attend college. While I'm sure many of these workers have a sincere passion for caregiving, in a world without severe immigration restrictions and these obvious pipelines the numbers would not be this skewed. I do not think most of these people would put these careers as their first choice.
For starters, they do not pay very much. Average base salary on Indeed for caregiver jobs was $16.83 an hour. For seconders, how often have you had to deal with older relatives making sexist, racist, or otherwise uncomfortable comments at family gatherings? Frankly, lot of old people suck to be around! So do a lot of mentally ill people! Mentally ill old people (so, a lot of the ones receiving home care or living in facilities) can extra suck to be around!! Sexual harassment, violence, and abuse towards workers is common in home care and facilities. [1, 2, 3]. Many caregivers of color experience racism from coworkers, patients, or patients families. Now, many of these people are not fully in control of their thoughts or actions (hence why they require care). And even if they were, being a racist abusive serial harasser doesn't mean somebody deserves to be tortured or medically neglected or left to die.
But we aren't talking about abstract hypotheticals and who "deserves" what. We are talking about real people. When people say things like "the worst person you know still deserves care", it feels like they are expecting the care provider to just manifest out of the ether, and be willing to do whatever is needed without complaint. How much money would someone have to pay you to visit your shittiest relatives for eight hours a day? How long do you think you could retain a warm, kind bedside manner while being sexually harassed, called slurs, or physically assaulted? A week? A month? This is what providing care for the elderly, disabled, and mentally ill can entail, and this is what needs to be addressed if we want to prevent abuse and neglect of patients.
I feel like i didn't connect the first and the second two paragraphs very well... my point in bringing up demographics was that
1- most of the people in caregiver jobs currently are not people who can really have their pick of whatever careers they desire. This is relevant because people often bring up "care provided for people who need it regardless of their sociability" in the context of like, what we as a society should work towards as an ideal. But in an ideal world, how many people would choose the career path of "care for the assholes nobody wants to deal with"?
2- many healthcare workers are nonwhite and experience racial harassment
3- the fact that "who is going to provide this care" seems like an unimportant concern for people reflects how the needs of immigrant workers are often overlooked and invisiblised by those unfamiliar with them. Similar to when people say "We need more content moderation!" without considering the thousands of content moderaters who do exist (mostly in poorer countries) and are being traumatized constantly
everyone always equips Susie in this scene so few people know that Susie can say, out loud, that Kris looks good in anything
here is my best worldbuilding tip for authors who want a thick, dense world with real verisimilitude. i stole it from gundam and now i'm giving it to you.
lesser worldbuilders start from what they want the story to mean or contain. i am here to give you formal permission to reverse that: start from what you want to exist. "i want to write a science fiction melodrama about the ethics of teleportation" - wrong. "i want teleporters" - yes!!
the failure mode comes in two disguises, which is why this advice is hard to give. disguise one is theme-first: you decide the thesis and then build a world backwards to prop it up, and readers can smell a rigged demo. disguise two is trope-first: "there are kamen riders, and evil organizations, and they make robot monsters, and it's themed around such-and-such" - you've imported the genre's conclusions (evil orgs! kaijin!) without the causes that produce them, so nothing load-bears. same crime, different trenchcoat: fixing the outputs.
instead: find the stupidest, most childish version of the idea you're most excited about. "what if kamen riders were real." then work backwards and invent the FEWEST possible things that can justifiably load-bear - "why would a technology exist that lets one person become the functional equivalent of a tank, and how, specifically, does it print its armor so quickly?" establish your minovsky particle. then roll the tape forward.
and here's the part everyone skips: you have to keep the consequences you didn't ask for. that's the whole trick. your themes should be exhaust, not fuel - if you roll the tape honestly, the story you were trying to order off a menu shows up on its own, plus three better ones you'd never have thought to want. verisimilitude is just the reader failing to find the seam where you cheated. only tell one lie and there's only one seam.
