My friend owns a crochet business and i live a country with high muslim population, and thought it'd be cute if she could make one with like, bunny ears to sell at an anime con.

If it's not appropriate, then I suppose hats would have to do for em. I just couldn't find any example of it on pinterest or reddit except in art. Ty for this blog btw, hijabi people are underepresented in most spaces💔

My answer is, as usual, it depends.

More strict scholars say dressing as an animal is impermissible. Others claim its alright as long as the individual doesn't believe themselves to be one. Others simply don't care.

If your friend is okay with it, she could certainly make a hijab with animal ears! Though, the issue would be less about if its permissible and more.. logistics? I have no idea how you would put that on if its a wrap-around type hijab, and slip-on material is pretty flimsy so it wouldn't stay up. Honestly, hats just seem easier to me, or headbands.

I don't know when you started this blog, but I wanted to thank you for it. Years ago, I used to search "Islam" or "hijabi" in the tags to find others like me or just see posts but all I could find was islamophobic propaganda or anti Islam fear mongering and that put me off of having anything to do with Islam online because so much of the content I was seeing was vitriolic hatred towards Muslims just existing, but now when I search those terms in the tags I see your posts instead! Tumblr is a better place with you in it thank you for being here! <333
