It took me so long to get this damn couch to recline i was jumping up and down on it opened it up and was whacking the metal joint mechanism with a 5lb weight and then remembered that you had to pull it forward first

couch diagram if u have difficulty grasping what i was doing. you turn the couch upside down but then you mus pull the seat back. i forgot that so was just trying to brute force it down/ reach behind the storage to force the mechanism. this couch is like old as fuck so even if i did probably damage it like it was already not great
