What up yall I'm back with another chapter of my Robots in Disguise rewrite/ TFP follow up fic this time with a shorter chapter (I'm not torturing yall with a chapter as long as chapter 1 again) and high key it was while working on this chapter I realized I really can post this story in a manner that works for me.

Like I get very in my head about how I format everything I create, from my comics (I haven't posted them here cause it's for an original project), my animatics and especially my fics, I take into consideration every ending beat and compare what I think will make for good sectioning, time jumps, cuts ect ect, and I realize that honestly I don't have to stress about it nearly as much as I have been. So yeah chapter two is done and up, chapter 3 shouldn't take as long since it's summer and I have more time before university starts up.

Happy Pride Moth! Have some Optimus/Ratchet, aka my favorite Transformers ship in the world, because literally how could it not be. Also the little swirls were like an idea I had, so they can't really wear rings and stuff cause like robots right (also neither would wear one due to their professions anyways like Ratchet is a medic)? So I thought instead I'd do like paint and little like rings on their audials cause I think it looks cute!

This ship (especially in TFP) man... like you're telling me that Ratchet is one of the only people alive who remembers Optimus as he was, when he was a scrappy little archivist who just wanted the world to change rather than a conduit of their worlds god? You're telling me that the two of them knew each other before the war, before their lives went south, and despite everything, literal millennia going by, the continue to remain by the other's side? You're telling me that they support each other and understand one another intrinsically? You're telling me their each others ties to a world now lost to time, only staying alive in their memories and I'm supposed to be normal about that!?

Happy Pride month yall! I would say I wish that I had something more gay to post first (more stuff will be coming) but I feel like Starscream, in any form, is one of the gayest things ever so I apologize for nothing. (BTW her surname has been changed to Vonilla-Lorenzo since I drew this)

So I am violently allergic to not doing every dumb Transformers related thing that comes to my head which is why when me and my friend were talking and I said "Yeah I don't really view G1 Starscream as a man, but also not entirely as a woman cause lowkey to me Starscream is purely a 20-something diva who should be at the club," and she responded with "Hell yeah Starscream's pronouns are serving/cunt" I simply had to expand upon the idea, que us literally two hours later having a word doc titled (No I'm not kidding) "Y2K cyberpunk AU/Serving Cunt AU" which has now been given the actual title of Transformers: Ad Astra which has an entire comic completely story boarded already (which is rare for me usually I just do fics and stuff). Windblade is next in line to be hit by my human-ification beam as her and Starscream are kinda dual protagonists. 2nd big BTW is that almost everyone is a woman/genderbent now except for a select few, is this because I'm a massive lesbian (the men get to keep: Thundercracker, Megatron, Brawl (the other 4 Combaticons are women) Knockout, Breakdown, Bumblebee (who is a child), Sideswipe, Sunstreaker and Wildbreak... everyone else as of right now is a woman tho sorry not sorry)

If you're curious to the plot this is it: Decades prior to the story the planet Cybertron fell under attack by alien forces known as the Quintessons, driven by tales of a time long past the council orders the search of the Matrix of Leadership, a tool that grants the holder the ability to grant themselves and others the ability to turn into metal titans. However, while they are unable to find the Matrix, they find the second best thing, a chemical mixed with a sigil that can force the transformation to occur. Little did they know the Matrix sat, awaiting a rightful host.

Decades later two groups have formed, the Decepticons, a sprawling military faction lead by Lord Megatron that has learned how to produce these soldiers at a rapid pace, and the Autobots, a faction led by Optimus Prime the holder of the Matrix of Leadership. The two groups, while still claiming to fight the Quintessons, have begun waring with one another far more often, with the true conflict becoming more obvious.

On one side is Windblade a hopeful if a bit closed off young woman under the tutelage of Optimus Prime, her hope for the future and strong willed nature has made her the perfect student and soldier, whether or not Optimus wants to put her on such a path. She feels an innate sense of duty to the cause, carrying a deep bond with Primus, however she is burdened by the idea of war and especially what she may have to do in its name especially when it comes to others.

On the other side is Starscream a woman who acts as the snarky (or just mean) second in command to Megatron. She achieved her position through brute force talent that couldn't be ignored, she's loud, abrasive and one plenty wouldn't consider pleasant, but no one could call her talentless. She clings on to her title, desperate for a sense of purpose and belonging from a faction that certainly has a history of beating her down (sometimes literally). Whether she walks the same path or treads a new one, is up to her.

The two's stories clash their intertwined paths coming to bite them, with Starscream being forced to see what her faction truly stands for and Windblade made to understand that if she truly believes in something she must be willing to fight for it.

Anyways yeah I have a story board of Starscream absolutely chugging a dirty Shirley temple. I fully admit this is sooooo for my person TF tastes, like I don't really like stories where the Autobots are high-castes/majority higher castes and the Decepticons are almost entirely lower castes because it can seriously just turn into "Boo why are poor people fighting back against the people who were killing them on mass" you know? Plus I really wanted to write a slightly different Optimus and Megatron dynamic that I haven't really seen in any of the Transformers media I've seen (obviously I could be missing something this is just the stuff I've watched).

I got bored and really wanted to post so I was like "I have a huge quote book might as well use it" and I thought this would be funny so here you go (some phrases altered to use Cybertronian/show accurate terms if needed) also if its bolded its quotes that have more than one sentence:

Bumblebee: I'm the unparanoid one now, not cause I just took my meds but because I'm slowly losing track of this conversation.

Breakdown back on Cybertron: But did Primus ever consider the fact I'm broke?

What up party people! I have more RID2015 rewrite stuff for yall! I come bearing another redesign that is actually isn't gonna be relevant in the rewrite for a HOT MINUTE like seriously Wildbreak is gonna have to wait for a while to exist. (More details on him below the drawing)

So this one is actually kind of a weird one for me since I wasn't actually certain if I wanted to redesign Wildbreak since unlike a lot of other RID characters he actually isn't that bad, like my only real complaint is that I hate how weird everyone's wheels and stuff look but I have that complaint about everyone in the show. BUT I decided that I would just go ahead and redesign him since A) I have WAY different plans for his character than what the show did B) I wanted him to look more like both Knockout and Breakdown (not gonna get into it cause it'd be spoilers but just know he's not a part of the Constructicons) C) I wanted to have my own version of him for the funsies :P

For his actual design I knew I wanted him to look more like Knockout partially because he is still a speedster so I wanted him to have the more sleek rounded look that characters like TFP Bumblebee and Knockout have, but I wanted him to be taller and have like slightly bulkier arms and legs which I hope comes across. He's got Breakdown's colors, though I went for a slightly deeper shade of navy, aka more similar to G1 Breakdown. In general I really like Breakdown's colors cause they don't seem like they'd go together but they do, I was kinda scared that the gold/yellow wouldn't look good with the blue and orange but it ended up find which was a relief. Anyways I was trying to figure out how to make a robot like a y2k diva while keeping in line with the rules I've put in place for designing Transformers, so I settled on some makeup and good ol' fashioned pair of hoops, and you can't see them but he probably has his nails done too lol

Anyways that's all for now, I seriously can't say much about Wildbreak without totally spoiling the third arc but trust me when I say he'll be tons of fun! What up nerds! After WAY too long I finally come bearing the official beginning of my RID2015 rewrite, and I hope chapter one alone being over 23k words is enough to make up for how long I've spent on it!

Honestly this has been such a fun project, I love doing rewrites in general, especially for a show that had as much potential as RID did. Really getting into the minds of the characters to try and assess why and how they ended up the way they did is just always so fun, so yeah! Anyways enough of my yapping you want the REAL star!

What up nerds! I have finally (after way to long) finished all of the redesigns for my RID rewrite!

Please note I JUST learned how to draw transformers and I don't think my style could be further from the show, so just keep that in mind and don't like bite my head off lol! Also when I say redesigns I MEAN IT like they are very different.

UPDATE: The rewrite is now up on my ao3 (which will be linked somewhere on here) so yay!

Uh BIG edit here for some reason I mixed up Denny and Russell's names so if you see the name Denny I meant Russell so so sorry about that!

But for now I present Strongarm, Grimlock, Windblade and Sideswipe plus his twin Sunstreaker!

Before I begin explaining some of my design decisions I want y'all to give a guess as to who my favorite/favorite design is, just like keep it in your head, or comment do whatever you wanna do, okay cool moving on

(You can skip to the design explanations if you want!) Now not all the MCs are getting redesigns cause not everyone NEEDS one, for example Bumblebee in my rewrite I'm just gonna say he looks the same as he did in TFP, Drift has his IDW design and Fix-it's design is fine he just needs a more desaturated orange. As for villains they honestly don't look TOO bad (minus Megatronus of course who looks awful) and I lowkey didn't wanna draw animals so.... as for the humans (Adult Miko, Raf, and Jack as well as redesigns of Denny and Russell) will be done at some point idk when.

Strongarm: So for me Strongarm actually was THE MOST difficult out of everyone, like from her helm to her pedes to her colors everything was miserably difficult! Her frame was weirdly enough the easiest part, I took inspo from TFA Megatron (which Strongarm would NOT be happy to hear about lol) and inspiration for her helm shape from Elita-1 in the 2024 TFO movie as well as G1 Prowl. I kinda mashed them together and eventually I came up with a design, but honestly my thought process with her was just: Make her bulkier to match her alt mode, go with a dark shade of blue for her paint, and DON'T put in to much detail cause to me Strongarm just doesn't seem the type to be super into detailing and stuff (which you can see in my notes for her page). So yeah Strongarm, I'm happy with how she came out even if she absolutely took the longest by a pretty big margin.

Grimlock: Omg I had so much fun doing Grimlock BECAUSE I've known since I started drafting this rewrite that I wanted him to be alt, and I hear you saying "Would Cybertron even have that kinda thing?" and quite frankly I don't know, BUT THEY ARE NOW! So Grimlock was also pretty difficult to design, I knew I wanted to veer more towards his old/comic look since idk what it is about his design in the show but I just don't vibe with it 100%, like it's not awful but it just doesn't sit with me, so I took inspiration from multiple TFA designs (it's the style I find I can actually kinda replicate sorry yall) as well as just some older Grimlock designs to get what I wound up with. Now please note I tried to make him yellow but wound up hating it and going back to a more militaristic shade of green with yellow accents for most of his vents. As for his tattoos I wanted to incorporate the Dinobot symbol all over the place for lore reasons and I wanted to make sure the tattoos weren't to "human" if that makes sense? Like Cybertronians don't have skulls or our animals therefore everything relating to that was out of the question, so I went more with stars and fire, since those exists everywhere you go and a LOT of bots are named after star stuff (human star stuff but still) so like maybe its a cultural thing you know? Similar deal with his makeup AND if you look close enough there are Cybertonian letters in its design (I'll do a silly doodle for the first person who can find them all). As for his piercings I went and had fun with it, how do they work? Probably an actual hole drilled in the metal if I had to give a reason. Anyways yeah Grimlock was super fun, I always have a blast designing alt characters since I am myself and I think the idea of aliens having like their own versions of punk and goth so cool!

Sideswipe: Here we have yet another character I hit with my alt beam, this is the last one (probably) I promise! But I have a reasonable explanation for this one! So Sideswipe's original characterization in the show (supposedly cause they don't do a very good job of showing it) is that he's a punk teen who's kinda troubled right, so I took that idea and gave it my own twist. Instead of that stupid spikey thing he had going on with his helm I have him his cute little helmet thing back with some horns which I obviously decked out in piercing's! I gave him some eyeliner (plus a little grey eyeshadow but I forgot to do it on the up close of his face sooo just like zoom in or something lol) and I wanted to give him something that mimicked a patch jacket but they don't wear clothes so I gave him some stickers and some caution tape, very DIY like a lot of punk stuff is for humans (my jacket has mostly patches I bought from local crafters or stuff I hand painted in fabric paint on old tee shirts and cut out to put on my jacket). I also want him to be scrawny compared to even Windblade again for lore reasons, plus I like the idea of his strengths being his agility and speed rather than strength and brute force. As for inspiration I think this one is the most obvious but I was inspired by his g1/comic designs as well as Jazz from TFA.

Sunstreaker: Our special guest! So Sunstreaker is literally a replica of Sideswipe except with different colors and I made his helm a little different, he has head fans and his horns are smaller/thinner. I honestly like Sunstreaker a tiny bit more that Sideswipe purely because of his head fans coming out better than I expected. Also I had this huge debate with myself about whether I wanted to give Sunstreaker piercings' and stuff like his brother since twins aren't always similar personality wise HOWEVER because of Sunstreaker's role in the story being pretty different I decided to go with plus I could totally see the two of them bonding over that kinda thing. Also this would be a good time to mention the crest things they and Strongarm have. So I thought it was really weird that EVERYONE in RID who wasn't an outright Decepticon had an Autobot symbol cause like... the Autobots are a war/military faction and they're not at war anymore so why would they really need that? So I was like well I still like the detail so what if I just gave them one unrelated to the Autobots, thusly each gets their own based off their family (which kinda adds onto it being a thing for bots who were sparked rather than coming from the Allspark but whatever I think it still works), I also thought giving Sunstreaker and Sideswipe a sun and moon was fitting lol.

Windblade: Last but certainly not least my girl Windblade! So here is where I'll confess she is by far my favorite, I've doodled her a bunch in my sketch book and I had a great time drawing her, she gave me pretty much zero trouble with her frame OR colors so yeah she's my fav (plus I'm super excited for her arc since in this if you didn't know from my other posts I'm aging her down to a teen like Sideswipe and Strongarm which MAYBE she was in the show since she and Sides had a thing but I honestly don't know)! As for her inspiration she is pretty much just her comic designs plus a stylized version of the G1 seekers specifically Starscream. So if you don't know I LOVE G1 Starscream's color pallet, it's so visually pleasing and despite him lowkey having Crayola colors it just works and because Starscream gets those colors back in the og RID even claiming they were his old colors I couldn't help myself and I used them for Windblade (slight spoiler for the rewrite but it doesn't matter since it's revealed like ten seconds in tbh)! So yeah she lowkey looks like Starscream's kid BUT SHE IS NOT I WANT TO MAKE THAT CLEAR SHE IS NOT HIS DAUGHTER cause that would make like zero sense. Also I completely forgot to draw her swords but she does have them, she a dual wielder cause duh and they glow. So yeah!

Anyways That is all folks! What up nerds I have updates regarding my RID 2015 rewrite!

So for starters I was absolutely shocked when the results were in and yall picked the Good Timeline, I'm so used to all my fandoms actively choosing to suffer so I was pleasantly surprised this time around! But yes the Good Timeline's first chapter is almost finished, the only POVs will be Bumblebee and Sideswipe in the first chapter but other character will in fact get their own POV chapters!

Anyways I wanna mention a few things about this timeline (mostly characters stuff) that I didn't mention in the past, obviously I'm not gonna go too in depth because I don't wanna spoil but I just wanna throw out an idea of what's coming up!

(You don't have to read if you wanna be 100% spoiler free you can just skip to the bottom :])

Knockout will eventually be in the story as one of the main characters, his grief and past will be explored as reformed Knockout still struggles with everything that's happened to him as well as the things he's done in the name of survival

The human characters will be present for the first arc, but they certainly aren't teenagers anymore (Danny and Clay will be present but Danny will be aged up to a teenager rather than a kid for plot purposes)

They won't be staying in the junkyard for very long, I'm sorry it just makes zero sense for them to be in a random junkyard when they A) Have connections already established with the US government and B) ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CLASSIFIED AND IN DISGUISE! So yeah they'll have a base, different from team Primes (obviously) but still a more official base.

Not all of the convicts are gonna be actual criminals, I'm gonna leave it there ;)

Starscream will be alive and will be making an appearance, BUT (and lowkey this might accidentally get into spoiler territory cause I tend to ramble so skip if you don't want that) I am not going to use him like the actual RID did BECAUSE I think Starscream is a far more fascinating character when you view him as an abuse victim. Now this will NOT negate the things he did not just to Autobots but also his fellow crew (ex. Knockout who got thrown under the bus how many times? And that's just the times we see, who knows what else the Decepticon SiC did or said before the events of the series) however I am aiming to explore his character essentially through the lens of the question "When is/Is it fair to deny someone redemption because of who they were in the past?" And "If a bad person is attempting to redeem themself what is the framework or does it differ from situation to situation?" cause I personally think Starscream is far more interesting when he is allowed to be more than JUST evil, like I haven't watched Earthspark (probs never will cause I hear only season 1 is good) but I have seen the scene where Starscream is confronted by a reformed Megatron and when offered "safety" by Megatron he says "No where is safe if it's with you." or something like that and UGH OH MY GODS THAT IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT THAT IS SOME GOOD SOUP and I hear Armada does something similar and I AM planning on watching that so yeah. Anyways yeah, Starscream he's alive, definitely not unscathed ;) but alive.

Drift will not be a mainstay but Windblade WILL be, this is because #1) Drifts reason for being with the group always felt so random to me like honestly I feel like they could have come up with something better for him #2) We've already got a struggling mentor: Bumblebee, so yeah sorry Drift fans he's gonna be a guest ever once in a while but not a staple BUT I wanna mention that in my story he will have his IDW design because he is such a stereotype that it is painful, so yeah no more of that. Windblade will "take his place" even though she's gonna have like her own unique arc cause we need more complex female characters and Windblade, a *ahem clearing throat noises* CHOSEN WARRIOR OF PRIMUS WHO WAS PUT INTO STASIS FOR MILLENIA LEAVING HER TO COMPLETELY MISS AN ENTIRE WAR AND THE REBULDING OF CYBERTRON IN CASE OF AN SPESIFIC THREAT *clearing my throat once more* doesn't get a deeper look on how that might effect her seeing her entire civilization was rebuilt as well as he loved ones likely all being dead? Yeah no I wanna do something with that. Also no she will not be brought back to fight Megatronus like she is in the show, there will be an explanation (which my girlfriend actually helped me come up with despite knowing nothing about Transformers) in the rewrite but yall will have to wait for that. Also I'm redesigning her, I don't have to many qualms, it's mostly her height (she's a VTOL make her tall AF) and I wanna go a little harder on the fact she's apparently meant to be based off the onna-musha/onna-bugeisha (I read it on her wiki and I think it's a cool idea, however, they don't often commit to the idea AND also don't specify if she's an onna-musha or onna-bugeisha which are different soooooo) but yeah Windblade is gonna be there yay!

Bee has his Prime design, it's not any different I don't know why they changed it in the first place because it was perfect before!

Alright that should be it but who knows maybe I'll realize I forgot something! I should, hopefully, be actually getting the redesigns out soon, specifically Sideswipe, Strongarm and Windblade who were the ones I wanted to change to fit more into what I'm having their back stories be, everyone else stays mostly the same aside from Grimlock but his changes are so so minor that describing them in the story should be fine since his actual frame isn't changing at all.

Okay so I know this is lowkey a Ninjago/Transformers fan blog atp because they're my special interests and I love them, but oh ho ho surprise surprise there are other little weirdo's I love and surprise surprise they're little weirdo's me (as well as some of my wonderful friends including @sedah665) created!

It's called Not So Secret Identity (we usually call it NSSI for short) and while I'm not gonna spoil too much it's a a very fun story about the yellow haired fairy, Tooth, infiltration this group of literally and figuratively colorful characters. High key a MAJOR summarization/dumbing down of the plot but again don't wanna start spoiling stuff quite yet!

But anyways they're from a project that is currently in the works and I have so much art for it because it's literally been the only thing I've been able to draw for AND when I love something I need content for it but obviously cause we're the ones creating it there isn't any so I have to do it all myself lol (like a majority of my sketch book is them)

Okay so I've been watching Transformers: Robots in Disguise lately, and it has been agonizing like 'I genuinely don't know how this show got made' levels of bad (I'll discuss my complaints for the first 3 seasons below the poll if you wanna jump to that) and I being me have decided I wanna do a rewrite however I have a problem: I have two different rewrites I wanna do. Now I'm a busy gal BUT I'd like to write both however I am gonna have to take it (mostly) one at a time, SO I wanna know which one yall would like first (also yes they come with redesigns for Sideswipe, Strongarm, Windblade, possibly Grimlock and Fixit but for those two it'd only be minor tweaks here and there)

OPTIMUS WILL NOT BE ALIVE IN EITHER OF THESE TIMELINES BECAUSE THAT MAN DESERVES TO REST AND I THINK BRINGING HIM BACK CHEAPENS HIS DEATH/SACRAFICE!

Possible Timelines (You don't have to read it's just some context):

The Bad Timeline (10-15 years in the future): This timeline is somewhat similar to the show , a council from a large Cybertronian diaspora takes power reinstating functionalism. Most of the remaining Autobots attempt to fight this but most are either blacklisted or outright banished from Cybertron, Bumblebee and Smokescreen being the only two remaining. Bumblebee is the bittered chief of police in New Iacon (since putting him at a super low position would be really suspicious and his power is pretty limited) and as a part of a new program has taken on the very best and worst student from the military academy. Strongarm is an over eager teen raised in a strict diaspora desperate to prove herself while suffering from severe OCD that motivates many of her actions as well as her world view. Sideswipe on the other hand is the epitome of a troubled teen bitter and resentful towards a world that he believes hates him, a foster child bounced from home to home alongside his twin brother Sunstreaker who always seemed to be better than him. The Strongarm and Sideswipe butt heads constantly but after an incident where cooperation wound up getting them in trouble the group of three is sent to Earth to check on a distress signal for the prison ship the Alchemor.

Bumblebee is tired, bitter and slightly angry in this version, quite similar to Ratchet in a sense. He hates the fact that the war he spent his entire life fighting, that his father (fight me on this) died for, resulted in the planet ending up in the same place as it had been before.

This version will explore themes of war, revolution, growth, coping with past trauma, growing up in a broken system and grief and YES it will have a happy ending but it will be far more miserable along the way (seriously it gets bad because ya girl is GOING to give Grimlock some needed depth)

The Good Timeline (3-5 years later): This timeline almost completely veers away from the show, with Bumblebee beginning the series as the defacto head of Cybertron that is slowly but surely trying to develop into a functioning (not functionalist lol (I'm sorry that was terrible)) society. He's struggling to balance the needs of the different bots from different diaspora and dealing with the new generation of bots. His break comes in the form of the crashing of a practically ancient prison ship.

He decides to make it a learning opportunity for two bots he sees much potential in. Strongarm is still an eager cadet but one who grew up in an extremely conservative and old fashioned diaspora that drilled many of those ideas so far into her head she struggles to get them out however that's what her oddball team is for (also yes she still has OCD fight me on this, I have OCD I know what it looks like and holy moly does this girl have it). Sideswipe is still a troubled teen bounced from home to home alongside his "perfect" twin brother, a punk caught for everything from property damage to vandalism to starting fights, he's got a lot of energy and a lot of spunk and Bumblebee knows if he's taught to direct it at something productive he could be something great (also he almost definitely has ADHD possibly AuDHD, so does Sunstreaker but he's SUPER high masking, that'd be a whole "episode" aka chapter where Sunstreaker visits and Sideswipe gets insecure).

However instead of three "seasons" (arcs) of finding prisoners, they'll be the main focus for about one "season", then the other two will each tie up a loose end from prime, one will be Arachnid whos still out there as a hungry vampire wreaking havoc across the galaxy (cause I love the idea that because she wasn't dead when bit she's still conscious but more blood (energon?) thirsty) and then the other will be Shockwave (whos still out there somewhere???) and Soundwave teaming up and becoming a major threat.

In this version Bumblebee is nothing like RID!Bee he's tired, but he's over all happy, he's making the better world Optimus had always wanted and he's glad the younger generations won't have to grow up like he did. He's in touch with all of the Autobots, all of whom have different jobs when it comes to Cybertron's reconstruction also YES Knockout will be included because I will give him more depth even if it kills me.

This version will explore similar themes to the first but with a few additions: War, grief, growth, PTSD/coping with past trauma, growing up in a broken system, the glorification of war, the moral greyness of war, found family, finding of one's own identity, and probably others I'm forgetting. This one is still gonna be plenty angsty (Bee misses his dad a lot :[) but not nearly as bad as The Bad Timeline and of course it gets a happy ending.

Gosh this was a way longer explanation than I planned but OH WELL I really wanted yall to know what your options were ya know? Anyways poll time!

This is just my opinions on RID and you can absolutely skip if you want it's mostly just for me so I can get this all off my chest! And remember all this is my OPINION not a fact and this is all silly and for fun and we all know this is not a personal attack right? Awesome go right on ahead!

So these complaints aren't in any particular order, some are mildly irritating and other are cannon shattering, mind meltingly, utterly awful.

-Sideswipes design is so... bizarre like he's supposed to be punk but literally nothing about the design screams punk, his like... head hair thing doesn't give punk to me yes it's spikey but not in a very punk way. So my idea is to give him bumper stickers that act like patches on a punk jacket, have him have more scuffed/scratched paint and maybe give him some like eyeliner or something (if Strongarm can have blue lipstick Sideswipe can have some smudged eyeliner) and I think it would be silly if he had like some caution tape tied uhhh idk somewhere cause he'd definitely think that's funny (Strongarm would think its very dumb).

-WHY THE FUCK IS JAZZ ALIVE IF HE WAS ALIVE FOR THE ENTIERTY OF PRIME THEN WHERE THE FUCK WAS HE WHEN THEY WERE FIGHTING LITERAL ROBOT SATAN HES LITERALLY THE SECOND IN COMAND/FIRST LIEUTENANT ALSO HIS BEST FRIEND LITERALLY DIED LIKE WHY IS HE SO CHILL

-Wtf is going on with aging in the show? Like Sideswipe and Strongarm are very clearly teenagers but like were they born? Were they raised? This universe is supposed to be one where people are born from the Well of Allsparks, but also Bumblebee reverts mentally to being a child which insinuates he grew up/was raised (good for my head-cannons but bad for the actual cannon) so like what?

-Why is Optimus so mean, like he's so cold towards everyone and doesn't even come close to the vibe he had in Prime, like in Prime he was very serious but he was also still very caring and kind. But in RID he's like a completely different person (minus the scenes with Ratchet??? like he's relatively normal then, idk maybe his husband brings out the best in him)

-Megatronus... THEE MEGATRONUS PRIME was defeated IN TWO GODDAMN EPISODES! No words, can describe how stupid this is, genuinely I don't think any words could possibly express how idiotic this is. Like you're telling me a glorified mob boss is taking longer to take down than Megatronus Prime. Don't talk to me T-T like you can't just bring in Megatronus and then use the power of friendship and laser swords to get rid of him. (Also his powers were lame as FUCK like he was created to fight Unicron and all he has is an ENERGY BLAST literally fuck all the way off) Also his design was so mid, like in my personal opinion I think the OG Primes should be BIG, tall and generally have a very commanding yet almost regal air to them you know?

-Soundwave deserved WAY more screen time/a whole arc. That's it.

-Starscream, that man should A) Either be dead (the logical option) or B) NOT IN THIS SHOW like how was he somehow treated as more of a threat than Megatronus Prime! I think his plotline would have made more sense if it was like Shockwave or something? It still wouldn't have been all that good but it at least would have made a little more sense

-Strongarm. Now, I am ALWAYS going to try and root for female characters in male dominated franchises, I am a woman and I love to see women winning however... I hate Strongarm. I tried so hard to like her, but like her being a cop, her always acting like she's better than everyone, putting people like Grim and Sideswipe down for their intelligence, treating Fixit like a lower lifeform simply for being a minicon (mostly season 1 but it still rears its head and I'm pissed to this day they decided to randomly switch Sideswipes personality to have him randomly start infantilizing the minicons out of nowhere that arc should have gone to Strongarm). Now I personally HC her as having OCD (like I've said I have it and she has a laundry list of symptoms) but it's very clear the show runners weren't trying to do that so I can't give her as much grace as I usually would. The way she treats others is abysmal and she's just straight up cruel but can always get away with it for some reason meanwhile Sideswipe breathes and they jump him (he has some pretty bad asshole moments too but they at least acknowledge that he's an asshole)

-Drift is such a nothing burger in this show, like his concept is I'd argue one of the most interesting bots, but in this show he's about as flavorful as wonder bread also I hate his design like WHY IS HE ORANGE??? His minicons are fine tho, they're usually chill.

-Bumblebee is so MEAN like he really isn't anything like what he was like in Prime, and while interesting in concept since he is literally a war veteran they don't actually acknowledge the shift and it's just bizarre. He never corrects Strongarms insufferable behavior and is way too chill with Functionalism being up and running again. Like he has none of the traits that made him such a good character in Prime, LIKE HE'S EVEN CHILL WITH LEAVING THE OTHER FIXIT BOTS STUCK IN SLAVERY LIKE WHAT???

-Everyone in the show doesn't treat Optimus like a seasoned war general but instead someone's grandpa. Genuinely why EVERYONE seem to forget that he led thousands of soldier into hundreds of battles? He won a whole ass war with a team of less than 10 bots against an army! It's just so weird and makes no sense! Especially for Bumblebee, like why does he all of a sudden hate Optimus? Like yes he wants to lead but why does that also lead to him being obsessed with doing things his way and his way only? The way they write Optimus is so bizarre truly should have just let the poor man rest.

-Bee looks weird. Sorry.

-Okay so this one, I think might have deadass been pure negligence on the writers' part, but Fixit being a fan of the the Pits as in the ones in Kaon. So in the episode with gorilla guy (I do not care enough to back and find his name) they make Fixit a huge fan of his and... okay wow that's really awful. Like the Pits are pretty much a representation of the caste system and the severe gap in wealth and social mobility, where rich bots would go and watch bots of a lower caste literally kill for the chance of even an ounce of social mobility. How in the name of all that is holy did they think making Fixit (a minicon who presumably also faced this harsh caste system just in a different manner) a FAN! AND WHY IS EVERYONE OKAY WITH IT!?!? ESPECIALLY Bumblebee! Like Strongarm and Sideswipe not knowing, makes sense they're young they wouldn't know the Pits in their "prime", Grimlock (who I just kinda assume came from Kaon since he's pretty physically strong and it would make sense if he was a laborer) MIGHT think it's normal, BUT BUMBLEBEE SHOULD KNOW BETTER! He knew Optimus who saw the Pits and I can't imagine never told anyone, cause like he'd want to make sure everyone understood why the caste system was bad you know? Yall this one actually got me SO heated tbh like lord have mercy. In a better world this episode would have A) either addressed Fixit's behavior and maybe been a Grimlock episode where he gets to talk about his past? or B) Have never gone down like that in the first place and maybe instead about helping someone break out of a cycle of pain because the system that put them down is gone that would have been dope but no we live in the BAD timeline where RID is awful.

-Why is Windblade so short? She's a JET like I feel like she deserves to be tall! Like I looked it up and she's supposed to be a VTOL which are not generally small aircrafts so like... what?

-Grimlock deserved more screen time <3

-They toned down Ratchet's sass, like bro let him be his grumpy old man self in his entirety. Honestly most of the characters fail miserably at being sassy and are just flat out mean. Like Knockout, that man is sassy same with TFP Starscream, but everyone in the show is like just so unfunny and mean that nothing comes off as playful or silly it just seems like they all hate each other.

-Why do they never mention the humans from TFP! Raf was Bee's bestie but he doesn't seem to give a single shit about him! Actually where are ANY of the humans like where the fuck is the government??? They absolutely would have noticed the bots being back lets be honest with ourselves they were NOT slick in the slightest, like these robots were NOT in disguise.

I'm sure I missed something but oh well this is long enough as is

Things I liked cause I don't wanna be a complete Debbie Downer (again in no particular order):

-Grimlock! He's an absolute sweetheart and a complete pleasure, genuinely the most tolerable of the main characters, he's also (in my opinion) the funniest, like he's dumb in an endearing kind of way rather than dumb in a tooth grating way like almost everyone else.

-Optimus and Ratchet's reunion, god I am so weak for this ship like Ratchet literally grinning and Optimus smiling at him was so cute and Optimus's little "It's good to have yo by my side once more Ratchet." like ugh they're literally the ship ever! do I think that they deserved an embrace yes but I also think Bee deserved a hug as well but NOOOO goodness forbid they show affection of any kind, whatever point is I love OptiRatch (which I vote we rename Operation!shipping get it cause OP for Optimus and then it's operation cause Ratchet's a medic? I also think MegOp should be Opposition!Shipping, it's not my cup of tea but I think other people deserve a cup with a better name)

-STARSCREAMS SEASON THREE FINALE POWERED UP DESIGN! Okay so I am not a Starscream girly (I don't dislike him btw I'm just not one of his superfans I do actually think he's a fascinating character tho) BUT HIS DESIGN WAS SO FIRE. ANGELIC IMAGERY WHILE TRYING TO WEILD A WEPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION! THE SCENE LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE WHEN OPTIMUS MEETS PRIMUS/FIND THE MATRIX BUT IS PERICED BY THIS EVIL PURPLE TO SHOW HIS CORRUPTION AND THE FACT IT LOOKED A LITTLE BIT LIKE HIS SHATTERED GLASS COLORS UGGGHHHHH! He looked so COOL and the design was wasted on a boring fight and an awful show, I definitely think they should try a design like that for him again cause it ate DOWN! Literally best design in the show, I'll happily die on that hill, a surprising hill to die on but a hill nonetheless. (Honestly if they wanted to do a fallen angle/angelic imagery WHY DIDN'T THEY DO IT FOR MEGATRONUS THE GUY WHOS OTHER NAME IS LITERALLY THE FALLEN LIKE COME ONE HIM WITH ANGELIC IMAGERY WOULD HAVE GONE UNBELIEVABLY HARD!)

-The accents for the villains were funny, I'm well aware they weren't supposed to be I literally don't care they had me cackling a few times purely because of how dumb the villains sounded when fighting each other.

-This isn't really a props to the show but Overloads name is really funny, yall know why, the show runners absolutely didn't especially back in like 2015 but it was funny watching in the year of all things terrible 2025 (I would KILL to see Knockout bully this man over his name, he'd have a FEILD DAY)

-Fixit is great... if you ignore him having apparently been involved with the Pits...

-Strongarm having a different frame was fucking dope! I honestly wish they made her a little taller tho cause like her alt is bigger than Sideswipes so why is she shorter? For the most part her design is pretty solid only little nitpicks here and there.

Yall I enjoy this ship pretty much only in AUs because I feel like Nya and Jay's relationship in cannon is so ingrained in the show that if they broke up in the cannon timeline after they like officially got together so much shit would go down and it would be one hell of a mess I think it could be solved but ngl I've never found something cannon compliant that scratched that itch (If yall have recs I will greet them with open arms like I'm goddamn Polities). But in AU's and complete world overhauls SIGN ME UP! Royal AU, alien AU, pirates, cowboys, world-swaps, crossovers, pretty much anything I am down to at least TRY.

Unfortunately there isn't really much content for them where they're not just background props for things (fics, fanart, ect) of the guys, or just pure smut, but that's why I have hands I suppose. I respect people who enjoy that kind of stuff, but I personally love a good comfy little slow burn ya know, I wanna be ripping my hair out and cursing at my phone 11 chapters in you feel me? I'm working on some ideas, none are finished nor have even a full chapter written but trust they will be put forth at some point I promise you that lol!

What up y'all! I return bearing what was originally gonna be survival!shipping fluff (I sketch the face first and drew young Garmadon instead of his full Oni version) but morphed into this because my ass was listening to Ethel Cain and Flower Face while drawing. Honestly I took it and wound up playing rendering/color and quite frankly I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out!

Translations: Vertical word- Destruction, bottom text- "You are no man, men don't have claws they can't cut."

Garmadon is my favorite character to use for these more painterly metaphorical art studies because:

A) He's my babygirl and favorite character, this is very well established lol

B) He's a fundamentally tragic character. He's doomed by the narrative in every sense of the word, he was a child when he was bit and after that he was left to deal with the fact that there was this evil snake in his head and his father as well as his brother (seemingly the only people he interacted with as a child) were now somewhat afraid of him. By his young adulthood his relationship with his family begins to strain due to their belief he's "turning evil" especially when going on the quest for tea leaves in Spinjitzu Brothers which shows he actually feels rather upset/angry that his brother and father believe he's turning evil simply because he experiences negative emotions (you know like a normal person) but then after he see's himself in the mirror in book three he goes on a downward spiral believing he's doomed to turn evil and be alone. We don't really know what happens after book four since the fifth and final book never came out but it's easy to assume that the tea didn't work and Garmadon is left all the worse for it coming out of the trip with his mental health in the gutter. We don't know to much about what happens in-between then and when he goes to Chen's Island but we do know that he doesn't seem to have gotten better since in Shatterspin he's still pretty self sacrificing and other people have begun to notice his less than stellar mental state.

Then we know what happens after the war, his mind is consumed and he is left to be less than himself. Even then when he comes back from the underworld we see that he still cares about his son, he kills the Great Devourer, he still wants to be a person. At the end of season two he gets what he wants, he cured, and for the time that he is fully himself for the first time in years he begins to apologize and try to make up for all that he did (even if it lowkey wasn't 100% his fault seeing he was being controlled by an evil snake), but even that didn't last. He dies, or moreover sacrifices himself to save Ninjago from Chen's Anacondrai army, but he dies a good person, he gets a memorial and family that mourns the truest version of himself. And then he was brought back again, ripped from the afterlife but only as half of himself, only the evil side, the side he spent thousands of years repressing until he couldn't anymore and regretted the second he was himself again. Despite that despite the fact it is supposedly only his evil side left he is still trying to be good, with the Garmadon comics showing his desire for redemption and his care for his son even in what he had thought to be his dying moments.

I think this is what makes one of the beginning lines from the Garmadon comics all the more tragic "Who knows what life he may have lived had he not been corrupted by the Great Devourer and cast into the underworld." He might have gotten to live a different life, he may have gotten to be happy and not fear what he might become, he might not have had to die multiple times over, but we'll never know because that's not what happened instead his fate was twisted by something completely and utterly out of his control.

So yeah he's a little fucked up and that's why he's my favorite! Hope y'all enjoyed my long winded rant, I have so many opinions on this man and don't even get me started on how much I hate crystalized for how it fucked up his development from the comics, but uhhh I think that's it!

What up folks I'm back having actually drawn a damn background for once in my life! Yall I've been on more of a survival kick than usual, maybe it's cause I'm writing a fic about them maybe it's cause I got a physical copy of the Garmadon Comics (my gf's little brother literally had to buy it from his ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BOOK FAIR like yall I was actually making a deal with a goddamn 10 year old it was so funny) but either way I made this, it's a scene from a chapter that's in the works and yes there's a reason Garmadon only has two arms I'm NOT just a fake fan I promise!

Anyways translations for Garmadon's tattoo: Exesus which means not only devoured and destroyed but also preyed upon and erosion (according to my friends who know Latin I myself was just using google translate)
