Based on Gimme-chan's fic Hard Copy of where canon Breakdown was transported right before he died to TFP Shattered Glass, where that Breakdown was killed. He takes the place of his double and everyone is confused by his personality change. Cons think he was reprogrammed and the autobots are wondering how the hell he managed to come back from the dead. He goes back in time slightly so he has some future knowledge that helps the cons a little. He is confused on why everyone is acting like a weak-willed autobot, but he rolls with it because he’s just the muscle and he doesn’t care as long as he’s with Knockout. SGKnockout is very concerned about his partner/conjunx’s physical and mental health. Basically every interaction can be described as:
-Breakdown does something.
-Cons: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
BK: "Lord Megatron" -- "Just Megatron"
Kneels – "What are you doing?" Que Black Panther's 'We don't do that here' meme
"Can you fix my optics? Everyone looks so bright." --"Your optics are fine. You’re just emo."
BK: "Beating up Starscream again?" --Megatron: "When have I ever put my servos on him? I do not abuse my subordinates." -Breakdown: "So he manages to keep his wings for now?" --Cons: "What!?"
Breakdown being gruff but gentle as he buffs Knockout.
KO: "You don’t have to do this." -BK: I know how much you value your finish. --KO: "I’d rather protect you over my finish any day."
Knockout being clingy while enjoying Breakdown’s ministrations.
Laughs at suffering– Breakdown, are you okay?
Breakdown flinches away from Starscream. Cue sad kitten eyes.
"Oh, yeah. She buried me alive once. WHAT?"
BK: "Put that down, now!" --Megatron/co: "What is it?" -BK: That’s a spark extractor or tox-en. --Megatron/cons: How do you know? -BK: It really hurts. Silence
Con: How did you lose your optic? BK: It was carved out for study. Con: What?
BK jumps off a ledge to fight the autobots. Everyone: BREAKDOWN!
Soundwave talks. BK: You can talk?!
Megs: Breakdown, why are you so silent? BK: I’m just the hammer mech, my opinion doesn’t matter. Megs: We always welcome your feedback. BK: Meh.
Megatron offers to spar with him. Breakdown thinks he’s about to get the ultimate smackdown. Tries to hold his own without getting severely injured, injuring megatron too badly, or offending his Master by throwing the fight. Megatron is concerned that Breakdown can’t tell the difference between a friendly spar and abuse.
The cons are confused/concerned when Breakdown describes the characterizations of his teammates. Each one sounds more like the autobots instead of the cons, so they think the memories of abuse from the autobots are imposed over the images of the cons to reprogram him. Ex. Arcee -> Airachnid. Optimus Prime -> Megatron. Ratchet -> Shockwave.
The vehicons see his shift in personality. They become the Breakdown protection squad with Knockout as the leader. Breakdown is freaked out by everyone being so nice to him. When he gruffly protects them, they have hearts in their eyes.
Breakdown: why is everyone so nice? Everyone else: you poor boy
Everyone is nice to him. Breakdown: Am I dying?
Breakdown was a medic’s assistant in his universe. Dunno about SGBreakdown. He can do basic repairs and assist with treatments. Everyone is surprised at his medical knowledge. When did you learn this? I’ve been a medic’s assistant for a while. It was a nice break from all the fighting. Knockout falls in love with him more. Breakdown’s not used to consensual medical treatment, so KO has to guide him through being gentle with patients. At least Breakdown can help hold down uncooperative patients, as a last resort according to KO.
Bulkhead taunts him. Bet you can’t break the con principles. Gets punched in the face.
Breakdown manages to take down several autobots at once. When did you learn to do that?
Introduces Knockout to human culture- drive in theaters and sunsets on the beach
Acts as a sort of liaison between humans and cons because he’s the only one who knows anything about human culture
Everyone is constantly :O
Breakdown suggests a vicious plan of attack. Cons: No, we cannot do that or we will be just like the Autobots. BK: So?
BK: Why should we rescue them if they were too weak to avoid it? Megs: We always rescue our own. BK: Then why did you abandon me?
Casually mentions the data cylinder with synthetic energon formula. Is that even possible? Shockwave, get started on it immediately.
Breakdown rations his energon severely. Cons: You know you can have more. We have plenty. BK: Yeah, for now. But there’ll be a shortage soon enough.
Canon!Decepticon plans become SGautobots plans, so he can actually predict some of the autobots’ movements. Plays it off as him remembering from captivity.
Autobots are so confused. How is he alive? When did he become so bloodthirsty and since when could he hit so hard? How does he know about their strategies, plans, and technologies? For the love of Primus, how did he know about our ship?
Megatron gets the cybonic plague. Breakdown uses the cortical psychic patch since he’s the only one who is somewhat familiar with it. It was Decepticon technology in his universe, which means it’s now SG Autobot technology.
Sees SG Silas. YOU! You took my optic. WHAT?
