Tbh I don't even think Nolan's Odyssey looks that great but I feel like the sheer amount of vitriol I'm seeing towards it on this site is a little overblown.

Directors have made crappy sword and sandal movies before, and they will do so again. The response to this one just feels disproportionate. I've seen people hoping Nolan and all the actors lose their jobs. Calm down. Go watch a Steve Reeves Hercules movie instead or something.

I think it's more about the sheer level of contempt that everyone involved in making it have had to the source material and fans who rightly criticise these failures. If they had just said "this is our movie, enjoy it or don't" it would've been a different story. Instead they double and tripled down on everything. Don't like balent race swapping for Oscar bait?
