Went to my first con!!

As soon as I got there I remembered I forgot to make her name tag. Woops.

It was really fun!! Got quite the sticker hoard and saw some really cool cosplays. It was mostly an anime convention, so I wasn’t expecting people to recognize who I was going as, but a good few did!!!

I got some burger stickers to give to the people who recognized me, but I forgot them at home :(

It’s been 3 whole years. I’ve been on tumblr for like, almost that long. Idk, I just can’t help but be sentimental. I was in a very different spot when this show came out. It was my last year of high school. I was just figuring out I was autistic, and had no idea how to cope. I was grieving hard, and coming to terms with the idea that I wasn’t going to pursue a creative career.

I graduated, worked a few jobs, started my career, and learned a lot. I improved my art by drawing these characters. I’ve received almost nothing but kindness from other artists and fans.

When I started posting on here, I didn’t expect anything, and now I feel like I’m a part of a community. I’m aware this fandom is notorious. Sometimes for good reason. But I’ve had a lovely time making art and sharing it.

Most things I post here aren’t very serious. Most aren’t some beautiful vent piece that provokes interpretation or thought. A good ninety percent of my posts are silly ship art. But having something fun to work on has been a lifeline.

I attach myself to characters and stories, and I’ve walked through adulthood with this fandom.

I personally loved the finale, I was ready to have my pencil in hand to create my own little version of the ending, but I’m honestly so satisfied with it. I know not everyone feels the same, and there are definitely a few things I didn’t love, but I don’t know. Feeling really sentimental after watching it with friends.

All this to say, thank you for following my art journey. I appreciate every little interaction, and I’ve so enjoyed being a part of this community.
