Sinn Fein activists are going door to door in Belfast telling catholics not to join the protests. Can't believe the IRA's new motto is "Brits out, Africans in" lmao
This is the problem with the left-nationalism of celtic nations, it's built on negative nationalism rather than positive nationalism, at least as far as the authorised state national sentiment is concerned. It's "we're not English" rather than "we are Irish." When nationalism is focused on what you're not rather than what you are, it's easy to fall in line with the globalist approach because you know who else isn't English? Literally everyone else on the planet. There's then an aspect of empathy they may share with other countries that were once colonised, such as parts of Africa, which means they see immigrants from these countries as sharing the same struggle, so they open their doors to them. Except a fresh off the boat Sudanese bloke isn't exactly going to be a prime candidate to start learning Gaelic or reading W.B. Yeats. In the mind of most so called asylum seekers who have little to no education or understanding of nuance, white people are white people and they're all colonialists, so they react to the Irish hospitality the same way they do to French, German and English hospitality; ingratitude and the bitter hatred of colonial descendants. They will take but they have no intention to integrate and they will certainly have no hesitation in making a fire from your beautiful oak door, as the old quote goes.
