Today I potted up some plants for the stand. Then I brought a bunch of junk & invasive vines to the dump. After picking up groceries, I stopped for more soil for my strawberry & herb raised bed. I also got basil, cilantro, dill & Walla Walla sweet onions for that bed.
I dug up a few bamboo runners, but had to stop because I was physically wiped out. I just tidied up my haircut & now I'm gonna soak in an epsom salt bath for a bit. Later I need to make tuna salad for lunches & probably the soup portion of chicken & dumplings. I think I'll add the dumplings tomorrow once it's simmering again. The kids are at their dad's until tomorrow night, so I'll eat something else tonight. I think I'm leaning towards refried bean nachos with all the fixings.

I got home from the mechanic & ate a lunch of Squeaks' leftover banh mi, spicy waffle fries & leftover iced french press coffee. Then I crashed hard for 2 hours. I woke up but didn't get out of bed for another hour. I was exhausted deep in my soul. I feel like it happens every other week at this job.
Anyway! I vacuumed the car & got a carwash, then got a few groceries. I decided to swing by a garden place on the way home to see if I could find any good clearance plants. I got 2 plants but they were not in the clearance section. But I haven't bought any plants this year, so I treated myself, in celebration of finally getting my brakes fixed. I will not lie -- I almost cried a few times when I felt what normal brakes feel like. It's making me tear up now, actually. What a huge weight off my shoulders. I can drive over 40 mph -- which means I can use the highway safely again! (Even though I probably won't much anyway.)
After planting my new plants, I watered everything really well. Before going in, I organized more plant pots & got rid of some things. Then I put everything that needs to go to the dump outside of the garage. I put a bunch of pruning/weeding piles in the compost bin & planted perennial flower seeds that were all over the place in jars. Then I watered the back really well, too.
