These gross, dusty bins are full of old pictures from back before the kids' dad & I had digital cameras & phone cameras. He was always making fun jokes like this -- his pictures are very important pictures. The pictures of us when we first got together are the (faded memories). To be clear, he wrote those on the boxes away before we started having any trouble in our relationship. It's funny, right?

Every time I get myself ready to go through the boxes, to decide what to keep or throw away, I see that & stop. I know I'm going to see things in these pictures from a different perspective -- & I'll definitely cry about a lot of it. But, I've thrown away so many pictures because of bad memories in my lifetime. I want to remember myself at that point -- before I learned how to be who I am now. That was an important part of how I became who I am today.
