Shelter/6 Souls (2010). Directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein.

When I chose this I didn’t realise it was supernatural (not that that matters, it was just unexpected), it read like a psychological thriller/crime, in the UK it’s known as Shelter, and until just now I didn’t realise it was renamed 6 Souls for the US. It’s not a terrible film, but it was entirely reliant on the performances for me, I got bored during the second half of the film, wouldn’t bother with this again.

Note-to-self; pay attention to genre suggestions.

When I split with my ex-girlfriend, I realized that I couldn't have her bullshit around my kids. Then I realized that I didn't want to trust anyone around my kids while I was at work. It's like that trust got broken & I understood what a large trust that was. Basically, I raised my standards higher than they've ever been before. Once again, having my kids is the best decision I've ever made. They make me work to be a better person. Every single day. ❤️

The bamboo runners are packed so tight that it makes this satisfying crunching (?) sound when the fork & shovel loosen the roots. The last few times that I've been working on the bamboo, I've had to stop because my body is completely physically exhausted. I have to take a cold shower to cool down. Then about an hour later, I start thinking about the bamboo runners again 👨‍🌾

I've been incredibly lazy today. Started the day with a bath. So I obviously needed a nap after that. I woke up 3 times from the loudest boom of fireworks that I've ever heard. And I had ear plugs in. I figured I might not sleep well tonight, so I gave in to my nap urge.

I got up, ordered groceries & picked up a few items needed that weren't at the other store. Now the sunny warmth is making me feel slow 🦥

But I'm drinking a big ol' coffee -- to help me get motivated to pull those moonflower vines that keep growing back as quickly as I can pull them up. I might move the 2 azaleas from the shady front yard to a sunnier location in the back.

I started Project Hail Mary last night. For some reason, the language was set to Japanese. But I didn't realize that until about 10 minutes in. I was like I love that Ryan Gosling learned to speak Japanese for this movie!
