The reason why Doom "runs on everything" (aside from being an obsessively well-optimized game) is because in the late 90's ID software publicly released the game's source code, which allows people to, among other things, port it to whatever device they want.
This is but a glimpse of what a world where anyone can do whatever they want with art would look like. Every game could be Doom in a post-copyright world.
i think therapy as a psuedo-deific force in the more modern generations worldview is really exemplied in like. how people will say to you "youre a freak, go to therapy" and when you say "actually ive talked to my therapist abt this and theyve told me its a good way to process my issues" and they respond "well youre therapist is feeding into your mental illness and needs to have thier license revoked 😡😡😡 thats not real therapy." and it becomes very clear they are not thinking of the material realities of therapy as a interaction and dynamic, and more of Therapy as a nebulous "make you normal" genie.
Saw this funny post and wanted to draw something w it

no matter how hard i try, nothing i write will ever be as fucked up as the stuff somebody who thinks they're creating a Wholesome AU with unexamined beliefs will make.
couldn't leave this in the tags
sorry man i can't give you a handjob. it's proprietary and has too many compatability issues. but i can use LibreJerk, which is like an open source alternative and it's just as good
some people use open orifice
When your pants tear, where do they usually give?
at the butt seam
at the knees
at the fastener (zipper, button, the elastic, whatever keeps the pants up)
somewhere else, please elaborate in the tags
I don't wear pants until they tear
how the fuck do people make gifs?
I have been on this site for well over a decade but I usually just lurk, not actually make shit. Well I found a nice parallel between how two of my favorite characters react to getting called out on their shit and I want to make gifs for the two scenes. But every streaming services blacks out the screen whenever you try to record. I didn’t think it would be that hard to figure out considering how prevalent gif making is in this day and age but everyone is just saying to turn off hardware acceleration for OBS and it’ll work but that’s not doing shit for me :(
please, if you know what you’re doing or know someone who knows what they’re doing, help a girl out

A thing that I've learned in my life is that American pizza franchises have an extraordinarily robust set of protocols in place to prevent people from placing pizza orders internationally, and the reason I know this is probably the same reason those protocols exist.
It's just pizza for some reason, too. For any other form of online ordering, I can place an order from Canada and have stuff delivered to an American address. Even for most other types of food I can do this, as long as the delivery address is in their service area. Pizza delivery franchises specifically? No dice – they really, really don't want non-Americans ordering pizza, not even if it's going to a valid address.
Very funny that this is enforced for specifically American pizza franchises, because one time I (an American) successfully ordered a pizza in Canada for a Canadian friend. So apparently this is not enforced the other way around...
No, yeah, it's specifically American pizza franchises that have this restriction. If you're American, you could easily get a Canadian pizza place to deliver to me, if you happened to know my address, but I couldn't do the same for you without resorting to technical chicanery.
I might be showing my Xillennial age here but...
Can you (a Canadian) call the pizza franchise and place an order for local American delivery?
Probably not one of the big franchises, no. It might work with a local place that takes cash on delivery, but the major American pizza franchises tend to use switchboard apps which will automatically reject or reroute calls from international numbers. Like I said, the safeguards are surprisingly robust.
Well, here's what I can say. Back in the day, when Skype was still relatively young and 4chan hadn't erupted into a volcano of steaming nazi diarrhea, I was a young Canadian coffee mage, living in rural Canada and bored out of my mind. And there was a Gamestop in Hawaii that was open HOURS AND HOURS after everything else in the US had closed and, most importantly, after my parents had gone to bed. And there was a Pizza Hut in the same plaza or mall (listen mapquest was still a thing, I couldn't just satellite lookup what the building looked like) as the Gamestop. So I used to prank call this Gamestop *constantly*. At least twice a week, they completely stopped answering the phone. It was still free to call a phone from Skype, so I could use this to change my number constantly and keep calling until they wouldn't pick up the phone anymore. Why was this fun? I STILL DO NOT KNOW. I was bored. It was late at night. The internet was boring because I hadn't yet made friends in Australia. I had a group of buddies I played Warcraft with who liked doing this with me. I don't know. But I harassed this one Gamestop constantly. And when they stopped picking up the phone, I'd start sending them pizzas. But for some reason the Skype fake numbers wouldn't connect properly to the pizza joint. I don't know if this is because they didn't show up properly on call display or what. So I couldn't order a pizza over Skype. So I ordered the pizzas from Canada. I probably sent 2-3 pizzas per week. My buddies also sent pizzas several times a week. From Canada. Until that particular Pizza Hut stopped taking orders originating from Canadian phone numbers. So at one point it was not true that you couldn't order a pizza from a Canadian phone number. And one week in the 00s, it became true that one single Pizza Hut in Hawaii wouldn't take orders originating from Canadian phone numbers. And then at some point in the past 15-20 years, apparently American pizza joints in general stopped taking Canadian pizza orders. And I can't guarantee that it was my fault, but I also can't guarantee it wasn't.
