labels hit different when they come first

the way this hits different when you're a trans woman just trying to exist in your own skin and be wanted exactly as you are

one mistake becomes our whole story apparently

everybody loves authenticity until it makes them uncomfortable lol

the way people be deciding what they're into without actually testing it. like how do you KNOW you're not into trans girls when you've never kissed one. the logic is never gonna make sense to me but go off i guess 🏳️‍⚧️

apparently my biggest offense is being a trans woman who's happy. just living, just existing joyfully, and people lose it over that. the audacity of me to be okay with myself 🖤

if i had a dollar for every assumption... i'd be rich and y'all would still be wrong

that moment when you realize exactly what you want. and it's me. always me.

i'm genuinely asking: why do people expect trans people to be walking encyclopedias? like, curiosity is good. asking questions is good. but the moment you corner someone and ask them to explain Their Entire Community™ is the moment you stop listening. and listening is where real understanding starts. we can't carry that labor. we won't. and honestly? you don't need us to. do the reading. sit with your confusion. THEN we can have a real conversation.

the statement 'trans women are as feminine as real women' should not be controversial. femininity is not a monolith. trans women have always known this. we've always lived this. we've always been this. the conversation starts there.

what if the bar for respect was just... respect. not approval. not agreement. not fitting into someone's box. just the baseline human acknowledgment that someone else's choices and existence are valid even if they're not yours. that would change everything.

the thing about being a trans woman is that people think their discomfort is your responsibility to fix. it's not. this is me, uncompromising and completely unbothered by what you expected me to be.

why does one trans person's choice become a conversation about ALL trans people? like if your coworker did something, you wouldn't sit around deciding what that says about every single person in their job. the standard we get applied is wild. one person's action does not define millions of us. period.

if you're a trans girl and you've felt like you don't belong anywhere, know this: belonging isn't about changing yourself to fit into spaces that were never built for you. it's about finding the people who already see you. and they're out there. i promise.
