The existence of a safeword also implies the existence of a dangerword that you can use to instantly turn any sexual event into a combat encounter

ppl simultaneously assume trans women are creatures of infinite patience and grace and wisdom, and also unreasonable monsters who generate negative emotions everywhere we go. this is because we tend to exhibit people-pleasing behaviors due to the fact that everyone always either is hostile to us or tries to take advantage of us. the result of this is that transmisogyny exempt people are always surprised when they do something fucked up to me and i get mad. and then because i raised my voice at them, i become unreasonable to them, in the sense of not being able to be reasoned with, and they therapyspeak at me. and itβs like. all of you need to learn how to apologize to a trans woman for doing something wrong to her. bc you will. you are not immune to doing something fucked up to a trans woman because you were conditioned to do so. you have to be ready to recognize what you did and make things better
the way ppl have designated cuddling as a purely romantic thing and is weird outside of that context has done widespread damage to our pack animal nature

Out on Youtube March 20th. Link in Bio!! These two masterpieces where ALL over my mood board when I was making Waves. Black and Magical is the way Iβd describe this film. Loving yourself when the world wants to hate you is the greatest power the world has ever seen. I have so many feelings about this film. Please look out for it this March! 3/20/2026, the first day of spring π
As a moderately technical person with an extremely good understanding of computers AND an extremely good understanding of the things that nontechnical people find frustrating about computers, it is always just a little exhausting to finish making a specific recommendation to a nontechnical person only to have people who are extremely technical and extremely bad at understanding the things that nontechnical people find frustrating about computers come in and make a recommendation that will require more effort and expense on the part of the nontechnical person or are literally exactly the opposite of what the nontechnical person is asking for because the technical respondent didn't understand what the nontechnical person was saying.
"My sister has had an expensive gaming machine and didn't use it and doesn't use it now but might do some light gaming stuff at an indeterminate point in the future and is currently using my personal laptop to do basic web browsing, I'm trying to ensure that my sister can keep doing web browsing but whenever I ask my friends for advice they start at a high price point and the people I know who have purchased used equipment have bad experiences with it that I'm not interested in duplicating; is it possible to get an inexpensive computer that will accomplish what I'm looking for here without it turning into a time suck because I'm not particularly good at computers?" is not what someone says when they want you to start speccing out a machine that requires a graphics card that costs as much as the machine that they actually need. The question was not "can you find me a less expensive gaming machine?" it was "is there such a thing as an affordable non-garbage machine my sister can use to look at Ao3 or are my choices 'used office machine old enough to have a driver's license,' 'cheap-but-trash machine that will have to be replaced annually,' or 'gaming rig that costs as much as a car'?"
It's like when people ask me for advice on improving their online security and privacy because their data was revealed in a breach and I talk about using bitwarden and protonmail and basic degoogling and then other people pop into the comments to recommend installing linux, buying a burner phone, and self-hosting an encrypted server.
People who work at libraries keep saying things like this on my posts and:
I love you
How do I get a library job I was an english lit major but it seems like the only jobs the libraries locally list online are for senior librarian positions that require a PhD in Library Sciences or are for three hours on tuesday afternoons for minimum wage I need a library job like you would not believe
Is this the kind of thing that, like, libraries do paid seminars for or something? If I want to find out if a library does that do I go talk to people at the library or look on the website or send out emails or something? "Travel to local libraries on a rotating schedule to answer tech questions and help people set up email accounts and fix their broken computers/hand out low cost refurbed computers to patrons who need tech" is the job that I have in my head when I'm thinking about having a job that doesn't suck the life out of me but I have no idea if that's something that people actually get paid for.
The job you'd be looking for, at least at my public library, is called Library Technical Assistant/LTA, or potentially Public Services Assistant/PSA. I think those are pretty universal terms but it maybe depends on the library system/type of system. They tend to be 32-40 hrs a week and pay more than minimum wage but not much more (in Seattle-area they get paid like 25 bucks an hour which is 5 bucks below living wage) and I do think you'd be fantastic at it. The benefits are usually good and it's usually unionized. That said the jobs are usually very competitive and you're often competing with people who have their MLIS. Public library jobs are usually listed on governmentjobs.com, you'd also be really good at working in a college library which has pros and cons over public. I think those jobs are just through the college website usually.
As for the seminar thing, public libraries usually do have tech help events but I think they're almost always staffed by volunteers. Doesn't hurt to ask at your library though!

do you want me to die
reverse unpopular opinion ask: MTG, and (hard mode) specifically the last 3-ish years of MTG
honestly, with the exception of aetherdrift's mechanics being a flop, the string of non-UB releases from bloomburrow through lorwyn eclipsed is an all-time run imo
Now imagine if each of these sets was a full block with a more fleshed out story and setting! 2-3 entire sets in ONE plane??? Unthinkable! What would the shareholders think?
see i understand why block fans want them back but on the other hand i think three sets each worth of OTJ and MKM would have straight up made me quit magic
don't worry, if we lived in block world still we wouldn't even have otj or mkm yet. we would either be about to release the second set of the lost caverns of ixalan block or the third set of the return to kamigawa block, depending on whether or not you were doing 2 set or 3 set blocks. we'd be about to enter a year straight of otj and mkm sets.
to be clear that would be a really bad thing, imo. the entire group of sets referenced in the original answer wouldn't exist (yet)
as someone who's been playing through all their block experiments, no block world has been my favorite. if i was solely in charge, i would have more 2 set planes than we do right now but it would still be mostly 1 set planes. i don't think i would ever do a 3 set plane.
