wow millennials are glued to their i-phones and laptops so much they cant even be bothered robbing in person anymore!!! maybe these trust fund babies should stop phishing credit cards while sitting on their butts and go out there and put some elbow grease into their thievery!
Okay actually I read something about this back when I was a junkie and needed money and this former pickpocketer was talking about how the crime was basically extinguished in America in the early 2000s because of two things: wallet chains and more importantly, a shift in fashion towards tighter, more fitted pants for men. So basically it suddenly just became way harder to stick your hand in someone’s pocket without them noticing. The guy writing the article was soooo pissed about it too it was pretty funny
Basically if you wanna steal somebody’s wallet these days you gotta do a stickup, or be really good at unlatching purses without making any noise
