I truly, fundamentally do not know how to get people to comprehend that no amount of explaining the events of November 5th, 2020 on this site can make anyone understand what it was like to actually be on tumblr on that day. My non-tumblr friends will ask what the big deal is about November 5th and I’ll give them the Big Story Beats (US election votes taking forever to count, Destiel, all that shit with Putin, etc), but I truly feel like you just cannot Get the chaos that went down on that day unless you were actively using tumblr at the time.
