Mr. Mims was commenting on the flood in Palestine Texas that claimed the lives of a 64-year old grandmother and her four grandchildren who were 6, 7, 8, and 9 years of age. The street he is referring to is where 2 of the children's bodies were found. Oh yeah, God is good indeed.

The struggle is real!

I see similar posts on my timeline all the time. I don't pray but maybe I could help in a real world or maybe there is nothing that I can do. We will never know because I will respect your wish for no questions.

I just learned that this is a thing, why is this a thing?

I found this picture all through my Facebook feed this morning. Not to worry everyone, I fixed it. I'm sure the second picture is what it was supposed to say. The first picture is completely wrong, unless you're an idiot.

Even the Christians are sick of seeing that shit.

Every year my (paternal) family has a family reunion and we have shirts printed up for the event. In the past, we have voted on the design. Once the design was chosen, my aunt or her daughter would put the order in with the printer. This year, the daughter has taken charge and decided that we had to pay before the order was placed and the design would be a secret until the shirts are done. I see why now. There are only a few of us who are non-religious but she didn't want us complaining about the design that she wanted. This is from the same mother and daughter who said I was disrespectful to their beliefs by posting about mine. Being an atheist in East Texas is a lonely life filled with disappointments.

I saw this posted from the "Christian Today" Facebook page. Oh the irony!
