So I feel like a hypocrite. Yesterday, I made a post about all my fears with online dating. Then this morning I wake up for find someone sent a message to my profile. First, I was happy and flattered. The I looked at who sent it, only to be disappointed. Not that he looked like a troll or something, but he was from states away, older, with children. All the things I do not want. But I guess I'll take the compliment. Even if it's from someone I was t expecting. So a polite thanks but no thanks, sir. Sigh, does it ever get easier?
I’m a huge nerd and I actually paid for an account on Mouse Mingle today. I decided I wanted to try it out and if I don’t think it’s worth it, I can always cancel.Â
But of course as soon as I set up this account the dive bomb of anxieties come over me. About how fat I look in every picture I have. About how anyone who clicks on my profile will dismiss me because of how big I am. About how they probably won’t even click because I’m so big. About how the photos I chose are the good ones and if they met me in real life I would be an obese disappointment. About how there are probably a million other girls on the site who are way pretty and way thinner than I am.Â
Ugh.Â
I’m so stressed. I should probably start buying cats because that would be way less emotionally trying. Maybe cat ladies aren’t lonely because no one would click their profile, maybe they chose to be alone to not put up with the anxiety.
Might have actually found a dating site worth signing up for.
