my family has had some pretty interesting encounters with psychics/mediums that seem genuine in the past, but nothing will ever be funnier to me than the last guy my mom talked to who was so definitely bullshitting, because she said "I was hoping to hear from my husband" and the guy went "he said....it's okay to Move On" and like. every single person my mom has recounted this too has been like "He Would Not Fucking Say That". as if this was an ooc fanfic about my father. it's just so fucking funny. fake psychic dude take your shitty headcanons about my ghost dad and LEAVE!!!

presenting a new little social series i call "behind the clip."

"sam says 3: don't flinch" was our third time doing a "don't flinch," and needed to build on the other two times (my screaming; little me's popping out of podiums).

i had originally wanted a dummy me to fall from the ceiling, but thought that was too ambitious, so instead pitched to ash that me "snakes in a can" should launch at our players from the sidelines.

as it turns out, snakes from a can don't launch very far.

i then pitched ash plan A as plan B, and ash thought it was very achievable.

the final rig is merely a cloth bundle and rope, triggered from backstage. it looked lighting-related.

ash's cue was my "moving right along," which is why i say it so loudly.

in the edit, we collapsed down vic, jacob, and lou's lines to be rapidfire, when the truth is we spend a full minute recovering from this.

it is one of a handful of game changer moments when i've wondered if i've really gone too far -- and one of my favorites in the series.

Yesterday my little brother told me something very sweet and touching, that when he was a kid and had nightmares about monsters chasing him or whatever he would be able to end the nightmare by finding me in the dream and I would protect him by fighting off the zombies, or carrying him away. This is adorable, and makes me feel like the greatest older sibling in the world, but the hilarious thing is that when I was a kid I had nightmares of needing to save him from zombies and such. so many dreams where he was in trouble and I needed to save him. Like my nightmares began where his ended. Low key I think he mastered the ability to psychically transfer his nightmare to me as a child and I'm kind of annoyed with him.
