^^^ i was so right here. solo was quite literally only made to be involved in this shit bc jey was too volatile to be romans weapon so they sent solo in bc hes calmer and younger and more moldable. and roman used him against every person he loved, and told him that that's what it means to lead, and that he was doing him a favor by making him do these things bc one day roman would leave and solo would be in charge. except when he left his brothers [HIS OWN BROTHERS] didn't want him to be in charge actually bc jey wanted freedom and jimmy didnt want to follow solo when solo was being roman ii, except, they immediately went right back roman. jimmy specifically went right back to roman. and jey realized its hard working alone and went crawling back too. so. um. hmmm. it's almost like. well hold on its almost like roman abused everyone for four years, yall got out, solo was told he's next in line, roman went back on that promise, told everyone he has not changed and will not improve, but bc roman has a history of bringing in the dubs, instead of cooperating with solo [or even just not sabotaging solo]. it was more profitable to start the cycle anew.

he's letting jacob have a whole lot of freedom in how to go about things, bc jacob listens Only to him. the twins don't get a say in what jacob does so as long as he's following orders and roman's specific in those orders, whatever. but solo knows roman very well to the point of being able to interpolate what to do in any given situation, and solo has had many many losses that were just from him defending his brothers to present a more united front. you can beat any individual, but not together, so its okay if solo loses a match here and there so long as it keeps everyone united. jacob frankly does not give a shit what the rest of them do and will not be made to babysit them. solo may be the youngest of his brothers but he was the one taking care of them [and roman!!!] the Entire time. except he was thinking of it as an investment in a group that would one day be his to lead, as long as he just stuck it out. and now he's fucked up his relationships with the twins for nothing, and is being told the only way to fix it... is to let roman use him against them again.
