masculine energy this feminine energy that. well i’m out of energy
need me some of this "renewable energy" I keep hearing about
getting scambot messages from random accounts that clearly used to be normal active blogs is sad enough. you know that there used to be a real person on that blog until they were tricked into handing their password to the digital fae.
but it's an entirely new level of tragic when somebody you've actually spoken to gets turned into a bot account. it's like peeking at a zombie apocalypse through the window and realizing one of the shambling corpses was your friend.
and then the zombie catches sight of you, lurches up to your window, and shouts through the glass that they accidentally reported your account to tumblr and you'll be deactivated unless you click this link.
RIP to the blog that used to DM me to tell me they liked my new chapters. Their last known words spoken before being turned, 17 hours ago: "Ggs!" They were praising someone's deadlift.
the message they tried to get me with is probably the same message that got them, so for anybody who hasn't already been warned about the signs of a zombie account:
if you get something like this ↑ they're gonna follow up by instructing you to contact tumblr support on discord and give you contact info; or they're gonna link a website that looks sort of like tumblr support and say you have to email them; or any variety of "you must now contact tumblr, here is how you contact tumblr."
whatever they send you, it Does Not lead to tumblr. it leads to the master zombie that bit them and inducted them into the ranks of the undead, and will bite you the second they have your email and password. i might be confusing zombies and vampires. anyway,
it's easier to fall for these messages because the blog doesn't LOOK like a bot blog, because it ISN'T a bot blog. it's a normal person's blog that got accessed by a bot, meaning the blog's content CLEARLY looks like a real active user when you click on it. and yes—it might even be a blog you already know. sometimes bots like this go down a blog's DMs or reblogs and message people they've previously interacted with.
they got one of my treasured followers, and they can get you too. don't fall for their tricks. know the signs.
here's where to find it on windows 10
Ugh, it was in mine. It's off now.
IT GETS WORSE
I had to turn this off, but it's something that allows Windows and anyone using your device to generate text/images.

Thought this was going to be a Murderbot post- "I will break every bone in your body. It will take about an hour."
“bits to use in everyday conversations”
The way most autism literature describes "literal interpretation" is often not at all similar to how I experience it. Teenage me even thought I couldn't be autistic because I've always been able to learn metaphors easily.
In fact, I love wordplay of all kinds. Teenage me was fascinated to learn all the types of figurative language there are in poetry and literature.
But paperwork and questionnaires are hard, because there's so much they don't state clearly. Or they don't leave room for enough nuance.
"List all the jobs you've had, with start and end dates." What if I don't remember the exact day or month? Is the year enough?
"Have you been suffering from blurred vision?" Well, if I take off my glasses the whole world is blurred, but I'm fairly sure that's not what the intake form at the optometrist is asking.
Or the infamous (and infuriatingly stereotypical) "Would you rather go to a library or a party?" What sort of party? Where? Who's there? I work at a library. Am I currently at the library for work or pleasure? Does it have a good collection?
It's not common figures of speech that confound me. It's ambiguity, in situations that aren't supposed to be ambiguous.
logical fallacies

my that one friend that's too woke opinion is that in a similar vein to how you almost never see fat people or women without makeup on tv you never really see anyone experiencing incontinence issues unless it's a humiliating comedic moment at their expense and that's kind of scary
like sorry to be the bearer of bad news but people piss themselves. when they're afraid. when they've experienced mental and/or physical trauma and their body needs a way to express that stress. when they've been sexually assaulted. when they get older and their muscles start to wear out from a lifetime of service. a not insignificant majority of people Will experience incontinence in their lifetimes and while there are steps you can take to manage it for your own comfort and others', there's simply no moral dimension to it whatsoever. & like i'm not saying every show and movie needs checkhov's bed wetting scene but we have seriously got to get more okay with acknowledging that somehow.
Shout out to the ten primate species, four bat species, elephant shrews, and the Cairo spiny mouse. Nobody else gets it
here you are sweetie
Hey this is something I actually know about
Forgive any mistakes it’s been a while since I studied this but very very surface level explanation is that menstruation occurs in mammals that go through spontaneous decidualization. Decidualization meaning hormones tell the uterus cells to start thickening and a bunch of other stuff to support a pregnancy, spontaneous decidualization means this process occurs regardless of if there is actually a pregnancy.
most animals don’t menstruate because it’s a very costly process, building up a lot of stuff in the uterus and then expelling it is very wasteful and pain also creates vulnerability to predators. This is why menstruation is a rare evolutionary phenomenon with most species simply reabsorbing the uterus lining. Even among species that do menstruate humans are considerably the worst off as bleeding in other species is minimal and they do not show signs of intensive pain, the exception is this poor shrew that does demonstrate altered behavior.
The question becomes why would this occur, especially multiple times, and why are humans so much worse off? Long story short, the amount an embryo attaches to the uterine lining differs between species, this is referred to as how invasive it is and there’s a bunch of categories. decidualization only occurs in species with invasive embryos that tear into the maternal tissue. Invasive embryos need a very thick lining to avoid damaging the uterus. Basically the lining is both to protect the mother from the embryo, and nourish a very high maintenance embryo.
Another factor is that often times the embryos of menstruating species are not viable and the complexity of the lining allows the body to determine if the embryo is viable before putting in a bunch of resources into growing it and this is very important as menstruating mammals have a low number of offspring, usually 1 per pregnancy and a lower amount of pregnancies throughout lifespan.
This lining would take a lot of energy to maintain, also it’s a lot of material, so if a pregnancy does not occur it’s more efficient to expel it and remake it later rather than maintaining it all the time. Due to the amount of material that needs to be expelled this can cause pain or discomfort. The reason it is beneficial to prepare the lining in advance of a pregnancy rather than when it occurs is that by then the damage from the invasive embryo would have been done.
As for why humans are so much worse off it’s unclear. Human embryos are very aggressive and likely because our big human brains take A LOT of resources to develop and thus need a very complex lining to avoid damaging the uterus while still supporting the embryo. There is also the idea that humans do not continuously face the pressure that other menstruating mammals do that if you are impaired by pain you are much more likely to be eaten by a predator so statistically most of the individuals who survive have less impairing menstruation cycles.
TLDR mammals that menstruate have invasive embryos and a lower amount of average offspring so a protective, quality, uterine lining is required in advance of a pregnancy and if no pregnancy occurs it is more efficient to expel the lining rather than maintaining it all the time. Humans are special in that ours are extra wasteful and painful than the others yay us!
i can tell when the edible starts to work when i start z-targeting shit irl
iu'm doing this shit when i run into my cat in the hallway
Everyone keep sending your attacks. She can't protect him forever
this bitch is literally crazy… she used to be a fitness influencer and scammed hundreds of women with alleged personalized fitness and diet coaching and she got sued by the state of texas and i believe settled for like 250,000 dollars. she then pivoted hard to conservative evangelical christian influencing. her husband is actually her second husband and he was fired from the kansas city police department for excessive use of force and when their family dog got hit by a car he whipped out his gun and shot it instead of taking it to a vet. they also forcibly exploited an unhoused man and sent him to a christian rehab… AND she holds religious retreats for roughly 700 dollars where her husband shows up despite the fact the events are described as being “women only spaces” and they baptize people in a horse trough…
Also for anyone that didn’t grow up in a fundamentalist Christian space, “husband is under spiritual attack” is usually code for having an affair/watching porn/is gay

A thing i LOVED in Platform Decay was that Nanna kept trying to feed Murderbot and its just lowkey sliding all of it to someone else. Doesn't tell her 'no' and doesn't question why this cranky old lady wants to feed it. Immediately I recognized she actually likes it and wants to take care of it and it DOESNT RECOGNIZE THAT 😭😭😭😭✨️✨️✨️✨️💖💖💖💖
And and and she wanted a gun to protect it along side everyone else too!! But the plot demanded she not get anymore op than she already is or else Platform Decay would have been a short story 😭✨😭✨🔫👵🏿
Three added, I hope you will be satisfied with my service—
Don’t, I interrupted. You don’t have to say that.
Oh, Three sent. Okay. It told the humans, I apologize, it’s in the buffer, sometimes it just comes out.
Perfectly all right, Farai sent back, though I doubted she had any idea what that phrase meant or why I had stopped Three from saying it. Please don’t apologize.
Augggggg
