guys i love doomed yuri as much as the next guy. but having alicent hightower plan the slaughter of her two sons while pining for her childhood bestie makes her look like a deranged psychopath. and the writers just don't care that her character makes ZERO sense . i cannot get behind "rhaenicent" because of the absolute character assassination that is done to both rhaenyra and alicent. every time i see a rhaenicent post about how it's "always been about doomed yuri". ok. fine. but can you actually explain to me how this whole plotline actually makes sense besides "it's always been about doomed yuri". please, i am not joking. explain to me how rhaenicent makes sense in the story.

The only Rhaenicent I'd be in favor of is one that serves to spoil Helaena. Gay moms protecting their daughter and their daughter's daughter? Yes pls.

at least otto didn’t have to find out that alicent, helaena, and jaehaera delayed their escape too long. like you know that man raised his daughter to get to the dragonport 6 hours early

also them going out basically the front door but there are canon tunnels all around the Red Keep to either hide out or escape through...

that being said when helaena said she would like to raise chickens i threw my head into my hands and wept no one has ever been more doomed the way helaena targaryen is doomed. oh my god when she was like i don't want any of the beasts hurt!!!!!!! i'm going to walk into the wilderness and never return oh my poor helaena

The way they're writing Helaena is genuinely getting so insulting but I still gotta appreciate these cute scenes while I can.

(ALLEGEDLY) like not only is alicent nearly sexually assaulted but it’s all in the context of her being confronted for the alicole affair like stfuuuuuuu this is actually terrible what the fuck is the point why do the showrunners need to keep torturing her

Idk why but it never occurred to me that dragons needed to drink water…

I always assumed they were just so hot that humidity on their scales could be absorbed bc drinking it would mess with their fire-breathing abilities but I guess HOTD dispelled that, lol
