i was casually browsing pierce brosnan’s wikipedia page tonight when i noticed something v exciting: he recently filmed a MERMAID FANTASY MOVIE where he plays KING LOUIS XIV. how had i not heard about this?

this is clearly the best film ever made:

“King Louis XIV’s quest for immortality leads him to capture and steal a mermaid’s life force, a move that is further complicated by his illegitimate daughter’s discovery of the creature.” [x]

Kaya Skodelario plays the daughter. Fan Bingbing plays the mermaid. there are also a bunch of men but i don’t care about them.

naturally i was very excited to hear about this movie, for the obvious reason that it stars A MERMAID alongside PIERCE BROSNAN IN A HISTORICAL WIG. but then i noticed something ominous: it’s been delayed. “indefinitely” delayed. since April 2015.

usually when a film gets delayed for that long, it means one of two things: it’s an unwatchably terrible box office disaster in the making, or there’s some weird legal shit going on behind the scenes.

but whatever the reason, seriously: Paramount Pictures, i do not care. please deliver the goods on this PIERCE BROSNAN MERMAID MOVIE. it’s a cultural necessity.

in s11 when they filmed dean saying goodbye to cas when he was about to go blow himself up, fans literally saw jensen caressing misha’s face during filming

and

in s13 when cas died and came back and dean and cas reunited, we literally have video proof about how jensen caressed misha’s face during filming

and the tragedy is that both of these times where jensen felt that dean caressing cas’ face tenderly was the right thing to do, the editors cut out these scenes 

but

in s11 when jensen himself directed a deancas scene, we got dean caressing cas’ face and jensen ‘deancas stan’ ackles refused to let that scene get cut

I’ve had this condition all my life but its gotten completely unbearable the past few years and I’ve been actively going to the doctors the last two years trying different methods to allievate my pain and this surgery was my last chance at any type of pain free life. It took 6 months to schedule and if I had to wait another second, I was going kill somebody. Safe to say I was a little pissed. I sat in that freezing room, irritated with an IV needle sticking in my hand, waiting on the nurse to find records of my pee test that I did less than a two week ago at their request. She couldn’t find the test results. She handed me an empty container with a cheery smile and an obnoxious prep talk that I did not ask for and told me to fill it.

One of the preparatory requirements they gave me was that the night before the surgery I couldn’t consume any foods or liquid (water especially). So I couldn’t pee. I asked for some water and she reluctantly gave me a cup with two sip fulls.

I had subluxed/dislocated my spine.

Except unlike with a man who’d be taken straight to x day or treated with a pinch of dignity ——- I was told while lying in a A&E bed that I had to take a pregnancy test.

I was already crying in pain, I was begging them to let me sign a form, just one form, I told them I was a virgin etc. I wanted a form I promise —- nope, they had 4 men try and turn a SPINAL INJURY patient onto her side while she sobbed and screamed in pain (it me) and tried to slide a bed pan under me. Finally a female nurse came in and told them to get the form

They had told me it didn’t exist.

Men get dignity, women get torture because our bodies are not our own.

I was in hospital a week and they kept checking my pregnancy status.

Because my spine being out and causing no feeling below my waist/immense pain was less important than a possible fetus.

i was 11

and i had to take

pregnancy test

and the kicker?

the goddamn cherry on top of this bloody sundae?
