“de?…” sam mumbles timidly “please dean? i-i want it, i want you to make me feel good again…y’know, like you used to?”

dean wasn’t expecting this. he thought sam had outgrown what they spent their nights doing when they were younger, he didn’t think his little brother would want to go back to this. but he was wrong, and sam does want it. almost as much as dean does. almost.

“what do you want sammy?” dean needs to coax it out of him “you gotta tell me exactly what you want me to do to you, so i don’t fuck this up.”

sam looks down, shuffles uncomfortably “you know what i want dean. please don’t make me say it.”

dean shrugs his shoulders in response, then stands up from the bed and pushes sam down onto it. he tilts sam’s head up to meet his eyes, he knows it makes sam feel smaller than him. it’s what he needs. he needs to feel like dean’s sammy again, not jess’ sam.

Sam wakes up from a nightmare, cold and drenched in sweat, and very paranoid. He starts hyperventilating and ends up in the motel bathroom because Dean was sound asleep, afraid to wake him up.

Dean wakes up anyway, the noise in the bathroom was enough to alert his brain. He checks inside and finds Sam sitting on the bathtub all bloody, covered in self-inflicted cuts all over his arms and legs because he wants to “drain” all the demon blood away.

Big brother patches him up, showers him with kisses and reassurances until baby brother falls asleep in his arms.
