people who claim that dean has never been physically or emotionally abusive to sam disgust me. what you are doing is actively trying to invalidate experience of victims of domestic abuse. the fact that dean and sam are siblings does not erase the abuse and power imbalance in their relationship.

for some reason no one in the wincest fandom ever talks about it, but the way dean's relationships with both lisa and sam end or fracture is rooted in the exact same toxic behavior : he completely destroys their autonomy in the name of "protecting" or controlling them. when sam is making choices dean does not accept, dean violates his bodily autonomy (e.g., tricking him into being possessed by the gadreel in season 9). dean does the exact same thing to lisa. when the hunter life endangers her and ben, dean doesn't sit down and have a mature conversation with her. instead, he has cas erase lisa and ben's memories.

thinking about the (creepy) implications of the fact that both sam and lisa canonically had their memories erased because dean preferred it over telling them the truth.

later seasons dean smells like anger and alcohol, and it reminds sam of john. a little too much.
