I need to talk about that overtime winner celebration because I have rewatched the footage approximately fifty times and my jaw is still on the floor. The absolute heat of that moment was off the charts.

When Will scored the game-winner, the energy was already explosive, but the second he and Macklin collided for that post-goal hug? Everything else faded out. But it’s what happened right as the rest of the team started swarming them that is going to live in my mind rent-free forever.

As the pile-up began and the cameras were flooded with jerseys, Macklin did the most insane thing. He looked up and tilted his head back, looked straight up at Will, and pressed a quick, devastating kiss.

He thought he was using the chaos of the team huddle as a shield. He thought the bodies crowding around them would block the view. But the angle caught it perfectly—that split-second, completely possessive, private moment hidden in plain sight. It wasn't a "hype" teammate gesture; it was pure, unfiltered instinct. The way Will’s eyes closed for a fraction of a second when it happened? Absolutely lethal. Also idk if I want to keep using the hockey rpf hashtag because this is just not a fiction to me
