i truly, deep down in my heart think that they do not give a single shit about anything anyone is saying on social media. i don't think they care about people thinking they're together, or thinking they're dating every girl they follow, or are worried about videos of them training getting out, or what their family members or friends say about their relationship.

it's obviously important to have conversations about keeping rpf in rpf spaces, but the week long discourse we have about it...these guys are not that famous. i would bet money they've even been chirped about each other by other players. i know we like to paint them as these super sensitive emotional dudes but i think they care more about what people think about their hockey skills than if people think they're gay. and part of that i think is because they did grow up during the years where the nhl was making progressive steps forward. and yeah i know will went to the program and all that but he doesn't really feel like a player that's a product of the program.

anyways back to my original point. if they really did care and it was affecting them negatively, we would know. there would've been no boston/vancouver, no romantic outings to lakes or a dogs bday party, how many other hrpf ships are out there doing all that?? i really do not think they care about their off ice image that much (see: kegstand, drunken european outing, im realizing these are all mack faults but whatever)

and on the other side of the coin, i don't think they're playing anything up for engagement. i don't think they're inflating their.....friendship?? relationship?? whatever they are for money/views/sponsorships because again, we would've seen that. we would've seen joint sponsorships and playing up the duo a lot more. i think they are just truly LIKE THAT™️ i mean mack (or will i can't remember) even says on the never offside podcast that what you see on camera is exactly how they are irl...i think sometimes on here things are blown out of proportion. these guys get so much attention on a daily basis (more than i think you guys realize) even tho i said they're not that famous, they get tagged on like a million things per day on insta. they're not worried about outside noise
